Mark the owner was very helpful, responsive and friendly plus he is fluent in English as well as French. A neighbor’s young tuxedo cat Lili stopped by for a visit. Lots of purring. The unit opens to a nice little pine forest with a deck for outside living. A very pleasant stay. We will be back again.

Close to the surfing school and the beach, 5 minutes from a big store, 10 minutes from the tourist information center. Very well equipped kitchen. Nice balcony with a bench towards the sea, and nice combination of sun and shade in the afternoon. Working washing machine. Clear instructions how to check in.

I enjoyed staying at the hotel on the beach, unfortunately...
I enjoyed staying at the hotel on the beach, unfortunately the town and area is undergoing roadworks, and once I was able to navigate round them to the hotel, it didn't effect my stay. There are plenty of places to eat and lots of lovely shops to browse around.

This was not our first visit to Lacanau, we will certainly come again as we really like it. But probably not in the high season, Can be very crowded at weekends and parking is limited. We usually come in the spring or at the tail end of the season, There is a great variety of restaurants from seafood to pizza and which fit all budgets - all within walking distance of eachother. Great beach, surfing clubs. lively at night.

Great location, easy to eat out or self cater, far enough from the centre to not hear the night life as much. Town has plenty of shops and restaurants and night life if you looking for it. Enormous sandy beach great for surfing, lots of surf schools around. Good bars serving tapas and cocktails very close by. Good selection of restaurants for all budgets. Lots of takeaway food available. Very good place for youngsters. Would be concerned about swimming as its the ocean and there was no lifeguard on duty but i believe they do have supervised bathing in the high season. If you are not a surfer, there are loads of designated cycling paths which go through the lovely pine forests. Its great for walkers too. Nearby lakes have facilities for sailing and windsurfing and there is golf about 5kilometeres out of town.Teresa MagillUnited Kingdom

The mattress and pillows for the double bed seemed new and was really good (on the firm side, but perfect for bad backs). It got all the basic appliances you need and it was comfortable enough for a family of 4.
