A wonderful almost hidden gem, the whole town is a living museum full of lovely historic buildings by chance exactly as they were hundreds of years ago. We continue to be amazed at the sights within the town.
Cannot recommend too much the Chez Félix restaurant in the town centre, great food, lovely staff, very pleasant atmosphere appealing to all ages - and delicious Champagne!

It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to find free parking within a five minute walk. This property is right in the historic heart of Troyes, so you really get a feel for the place. The architecture is stunning - tall timber framed merchant houses, and some other stone built elegant structures too. With just a one night stay, and a ferry to catch the following day, we had nowhere near enough time to appreciate it - and no time to visit any of the amazing churches. We need to come again to enjoy it all properly. We ate at a popular grill restaurant in one of the old timber-framed buildings. It was buzzing and busy, but they fitted us in. We enjoyed local food and some champagne from the region.

The old town is lovely: fascinating architecture and quaint laneways. Not buzzing with cars so easy to get around on foot. Every encounter with the locals was pleasant. A nice place to soak in la vie francaise.

The city centre was easily accessible being level with plenty of restaurant options. The old buildings gave the city a wonderful atmosphere and there are many things of interest to visit. I will return for a third visit.

Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city.
Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city. Easy to walk everywhere and so much to see and do a few days is not enough. The museums, medieval houses, churches are fascinating .It is like walking into history. Don't forget to visit the Mediatheque, the collection of ancient books is amazing. After an afternoon of exploring try one of the many cafes for something yummy to eat. Then take a night stroll down to the canal to see Troyes lit up at night!!
The location was perfect, quiet but right by the centre of everything.
The room was comfortable and large, the bathroom clean and well equipped.
The breakfast was generous, with various options such as fruit, cereals and yoghurt (in addition to bread and croissant) which you don't often get in France.
The staff were very helpful. There is also a useful option to order a take-away dinner in the room for a good price, if for some reason you don't want to (or can't) dine out.
This hotel is a beautiful historic building, with timber framed rooms on many different levels, and is built around pretty courtyards and gardens. It is very close to the centre of Troyes. It is a shame that it does not deserve its 5 star rating, and both the hotel and restaurant are overpriced. Staff try their best, but management are obviously only interested in charging high prices which are more than double the prices they should be for room, dinner and breakfast.
The five of us traveled from Beauvais to Dijon to see the famous champagne and vine regions of France. We booked this apartment for one night and was fully satisfied.
The interior decor is made with love and being inside you feel warm care for guests from the owners. This is perfect apartment, comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished with everything you need in a few steps from the historical center of the city.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
We did a stop on our way to the south of france. We were travelling as a couple with 2 kids.
The location is fantastic. Troyes is beautiful and the appartement is in the heart of the city, but with easy car parking in the immediate surroundings.
Kitchen was well equipped. Two bathrooms.
We forgot our electrical tooth brush and the owner send it through to us immediately, which was very kind.
This was one of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff, great room, super clean and spacious bathroom. The bedroom had more than adequate storage space (which is unusual for most hotels). It is in a fantastic location, the whole experience was outstanding and we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.
Overall great hotel with friendly staff. We were enroute further South of France and this was a quick stop over. Nice and clean. Great bed. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. We also had a recommendation for a lovely pizza place 10 mins walk from the hotel. All round great stay - we booked for the return back to the UK journey, glad we did.
Very clean and located right in the centre of the beautiful city of Troyes. lots of good restaurants and bars nearby, and a really good vibe to the city centre. Very comfortable room and good quality breakfast. Good value three star property with secure car parking close by.
Good location. Easy walk to the center of Troyes. Comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, main bathroom was nice with great water pressure and lots of hot water. Desk fans in every bedroom was a very nice amenity. Very helpful and accommodating host.
A very charming apartment, very clean and well-equipped in an excellent location right in the historic city centre. Can't find a better property for a stay in Troyes. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and shops within a few meters.
Troyes is a great place to stop on the way to Italy or further south in France or for a short stay in itself. This is the second time we have stayed here and it is perfect. The host Ed is great and we will definitely stay again.
Bed very comfortable
Very helpful and smiley receptionist on departure
Bar staff were very professional
Have been using hotel for many years when we travel in France and staff this time were lovely
It was a great hotel for our overnight stay in Troyes . Comfortable beds and great shower .
Bonus points having a decent kettle, two teabags , two coffee pouches , no milk though , so take your own .
The room is very compressed (it is tiny), but they manage to fit a good size bed, desk, and luggage rack in the room. The hotel room was very clean. The breakfast was very nice. The location is good.
we were stopping over on the way to south of france. easy to find. instructions for key and key box good. sheets and towels included. room adequate for 1 night stopover.
Fantastic location. Clean. Helpful staff. We stayed overnight on both outbound & inbound journeys to the south of France. Great place would definitely recommend
