Excellent location for both the town and train station.
We enjoyed an evening meal and found the staff helpful when we left luggage because of an early arrival.
The recorded voice in the lift for the floor announcements were great. The board games and table football were fun too.

Known for its fine porcelain and unique enamels, the charming city of Limoges is the capital of the Haute-Vienne and the Limousin region. Situated on the banks of River Vienne, this vibrant university town has medieval buildings, half-timbered houses and a green botanical garden.
The Gothic Cathedral of Limoges is a structure made of dark Limousin granite, featuring frescoes and a stunning bell tower. Travellers can wander around the picturesque streets of the city centre, cross the Bridge of Saint Martial and visit the fountain at Place de la République.

A truly French Town! Loved it, in particular Quartier de la Boucherie, with it's balloons and lovely little shops. The Cathedral is amazing but the highlight of our very short visit was the indoor food market - Le Halles Centrales - I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! Absollutely spotless with various counters to 'eat and drink' and the food on display was truly inspiring! Will be back, definitely.

There is lots of interesting places to visit and many good restaurants. Pity one can only really eat one dinner per evening! It's a compact city with all sites that one may wish to visit in easy walking distance for the able and lots of public transport for those who are not. Also, they have a free bus that one waves down to take you on a trip around the city though we didn't use it.

Good restaurants and as a meat eater would recommend El boeuf a la mode. Worthwhile to visit early in the day the fresh produce market in the city center. Although not in the city center a visit to Bernardaud to see Limoge porcelain is worth it, despite the fact that, the prices are exorbitant. The countryside around the city is worth exploring with a number of small towns including close.

Being an experienced traveller around various parts of the world,I can recommend Limoges as one of my favourites. The people are very helpful, most spoke some English. Getting around is easy due to a very efficient public transport system. Many and varied eating options, bars, without getting ripped off!
Only downside to Limoges is,there is no public transport into the city,so a taxi each way (28-30 euros)
3/4 days is adequate to see the all of the major sites (the porcelain museum is a must)

Three days is about right to leisurely enjoy Limoges, which is very accessible as a pedestrian to the central area. My only comment if planning a stay would be to note that the majority of museums are closed both Tuesday and Wednesday.

You could see it in a day so two nights was perfect and although I always pass Limoges on train journeys I was pleased I stopped and gave it a look I would not go out of my way for a visit but I felt very safe and it was remarkably clean
Location-just across the parking lot from Benedictins station. The staff- from Alexandre at the front desk who could not have been friendlier and accomodating to the friendly room attendant. Ease of check-in ( 1 minute) , the excellent breakfast, and the electric black-out window shade. Beds were excellent and the place was very clean throughout. And no, I am not related to the owner, I was just very pleasantly surprised as we have stayed at other hotels next to the station and were always disappointed.
We were able to park right outside the front door of the hotel on the street which was a bonus. The hotel had reserved us a space in their small car park but it turned out that we didn't need it. Our rooms were large enough with a decent sized bathroom and nicely equipped if a little dated. The man on reception who greeted us was friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner and kindly made a reservation for us.
We broke a long drive through France with an overnight stay at this hotel which was very conveniently located just off our route. The staff are friendly and efficient and there is a pleasant garden where you can sit out to eat or just have a drink. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and there were lots of good options to choose from at breakfast. It was all that we hoped for, and we set off the next day feeling well-rested.
Great choice for that area for the price. Just know what you’re getting. It’s exactly what you’d expect from an Ibis Budget. Not super quiet. Small, basic rooms. But if you’re looking for a no thrills place to stay near the center of Limoges and crash for the night then it gets the job done. The common/eating area was unexpectedly large. And the free, round the clock street parking was a huge bonus.
I Iove its name. I loved the decoration and the fact that it’s a very old house with beautiful old wooden floors. I was immediately welcomed by the person responsible (owner?) who stays right opposite. There are no signs at all in the street so it was a bit unexpected because I was looking for a small hotel. Overall a great experience.
I am a frequently return guest. The staff (especially Alex and France make my stay enjoy. There is one cleaning staff member that made sure my room was always cleaned. I could tell the day she was off because the staff completely missed my room. Looking forward to my return in December
The hotel owner was super friendly and gave great advice about what to do in the area etc. The hotel is in a lovely old building and is tastefully decorated. Location is fairly quiet but within 10 minute walk of the city centre.
Everything, best price/quality I have ever stayed in France. The flat was in the historic city center very close to the cathedral. We even found free parking in the street. The flat was perfect and had everything needed.
Very clean, easy to find, hotel. Car parking either underground or public car park opposite. The provided breakfast was good. Easy walking distance of town centre. Good value.
It’s the perfect location for touring the area with the bonus that you can play a round of golf. For me it’s the ideal stopover when traveling to the south of France.
We love this hotel. Easy access to the centre of Limoges with very secure parking. Staff are so helpful! Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perfect wifi.
Convenient to the train station and the town centre. Lady at reception was friendly and helpful. Good quiet room, good bed and shower. Breakfast was fine.
Easy check in after 3pm , good location close to the sights and parking opposite hotel. Lovely simple room very clean with tiny ensuite. Nice breakfast
