Before booking, I first read the negative reviews complaining about the dogs and the creaky floors. Still, I decided to come, because it was an absolutely unique opportunity to stay in a historic château — and I didn’t regret it for a moment. I was greeted by David. The house is a real museum. I’m deeply impressed by how these people manage to maintain and care for this old home — how much effort, money, time, and love has been invested so that it could open its doors to guests. Every corner of this château is filled with that love. We chose the largest room. I felt like the heroine of a novel from the era of Louis XIV. There is peace, serenity, and silence in this place — a true sense of harmony. It was the best sleep I had during my entire trip across France. The room was a bit cool, but the bed itself was perfectly warm and comfortable — a huge down duvet and an electric blanket made it incredibly cozy. I placed the radiator in the bathroom, and overnight it warmed up — in the morning it was pleasantly warm inside. This is a bathroom for those who love taking baths. If you prefer showers, I wouldn’t recommend this room. Breakfast was beyond all praise. I felt like a guest in a nobleman’s house. The breakfast room is filled with fascinating artifacts — from taxidermy to paintings and historical objects that tell the story of that era. But the most important thing about this house is the care for guests and the love that fills it. The dogs are the kindest, most welcoming creatures. And if you don’t like dogs — that’s your problem; something must be wrong with you. I will gladly recommend this place to all my friends and will definitely return. It was the best experience I’ve had in many years of traveling.

We were in the middle of a journey further south in France, so we chose this hotel for its location on the outskirts of Limoges, with easy access to the motorway. It doesn't disappoint, is clean and comfortable with ample parking, and is very reasonably priced.

Great location for stop off on the way south. Rooms clean, great shower, staff excellent breakfast the best of all we have tried ( and that’s quite a few) we will be using this hotel each and every time from now onwards
