Wat een parel Chateau de Bussolles! Jacqueline en Hans zijn warme hosts en zijn sinds kort gestart met het beheren van het kasteel. Het kasteel is adembenemend mooi, en goed onderhouden. Toch zien zij nog verbeterpunten. Het buitenzwembad hebben we ons niet aan gewaagd in oktober maar moet fantastisch zijn in de zomer. Heerlijk om op kasteel te hebben vertoefd.

We are Jacqueline and Hans, a couple from The Netherlands, your hosts at this beautiful Château de Bussolles in rustic France. We love to welcome you to our beautiful chateau where you will be able to enjoy many peaceful moments with family and friends. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Property info

The history of Château de Bussolles dates back to the 10th century, the old chapel is said to have been built around the 13th and 14th century. The castle as it is now, was rebuilt around 200 years ago. Tree-lined driveways brings you to the castle, which is beautifully situated on an estate of 12ha, surrounded by rolling green hills. At the 60 m2 private pool you can do some quiet reading or sunbathing on the sun loungers. If the sun becomes too much, you can cool off in one of the hammocks under the trees. Late afternoon, it is lovely to sit on the elevated terrace where you can enjoy the evening sun and the view of the Têche valley. There are plenty of activities for all ages. Outside the grounds offer a football pitch, a trampoline, a giant swing, go-karts, etc. Inside you can play snooker, pool, darts, table football, air hockey among other games. In the evenings you can use the BBQ facilities and make a bonfire in the fire pit. Château de Bussolles has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and can accommodate 15 people comfortably.

Neighborhood info

The closest supermarkets are only a 10-minute drive away from the château in Lapalisse. Local markets (vegetables, cheeses, local products, wine and much more) are in abundance in the area, especially in summer. Activities in the area: hiking, cycling, wake boarding, (water) skiing, canoeing, quad riding, Le Pal entertainment par & zoo: lots of things to do for all.
