Property info

The gite is a converted coach house within the grounds of Maison Marie Ange, a turn of the century grand house. The gite itself has 3 double bedrooms (one with ensuite shower and wc) , a separate shower and wc, lounge, kitchen and terrace. The rustic charm of this former coach house is apparent throughout with whitewashed walls, brick ceilings and wide oak floorboards. Tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings and appliances. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The spacious lounge has a flat screen tv, a wood burning stove and french doors leading out to a large partially covered, south facing terrace with sun loungers. The perfect place to relax after a busy day. There is a large garden area with fire pit, table tennis table, trampoline, garden games and with enough space to kick a football. Although the gite shares the garden of the main house, the rear terrace area and garden is completely fenced and private and not overlooked by the house.The property is enclosed by a garden wall and large gated access to the road so is safe for children and pets.

Neighborhood info

Situated in the beautiful Limousin region of France, Marsac is a typical rural french village. It is small yet thriving with a train station, boulangerie, grocers shop, garage with petrol station, doctors, post office, pharmacy and 2 bars & restaurants. The village also has a basketball court, table tennis area and a fabulous open air swimming pool opening during school summer holidays. Trains regularly run to Limoges centre (approx 25 mins train journey). Driving to Limoges is only 40 minutes. Numerous walking and biking trails surround the property and there are several swimming and fishing lakes only a 10 minute drive. An ideal base to explore the beautiful Creuse region.
