The town/village is beautiful, as is the whole region. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The room was large and well equipped. A very positive experience.

It's a gorgeous ancient property restored will lovely modern amenities. Each room has a private luxurious ensuite bath. The breakfasts were Incredible the best of everything. And such a beautiful room to dine in! Everything fresh and homemade. And they have great local wines. The hosts are incredible. And there is the right mix of vivacity and community. Easy access and warm greeting. Comfortable with air conditioning. Parking below.
Sancerre is a beautiful old hilltop visage. It is pleasantly located allowing day trips to surrounding medieval villages and small cities such as Gion, Bourges, and Auxerre. I strongly recommend taking these day trips. The old cobblestone streets and equally ancient homes and buildings offer wonderful photo ops. I also recommend a drive out into the vineyards. Regarding “getting about in Sancerre,”. Many of the streets are quite steep, so be willing to take your time and enjoy the environment.

We only had an overnight stop in Sancerre.
We only had an overnight stop in Sancerre. It was a shame as I would like to spend more time exploring the area. Sancerre is a lovely little town and worth a wander about. Great wines and nice people. Like many such towns, it does suffer from it's own fame. There are plenty of wine shops, but there appeared to be a lack of usual local retailers.

Obviously focused on wine - but Sancerre is a lovely town with beautiful views and lots of facilities for tourists to learn about Sancerre and what makes it special. Lots of the facilities are geared to include children's interest (even though it's still about wine).

Sancerre is a beautiful with loads of good wine, some nice restaurants, and a stunning scenery around it. Best suitable for couples and those who like a quiet stay. Not much disco and party around here, mostly wine tasting, history, views and good food.

Just one nights stay at The Panoramic but could have stayed longer.
The village is a steep walk up the hill from the hotel, but worth the effort to be rewarded with a good selection of restaurants, wine merchants and individual shops.

A beautiful old town atop a hill with a super view of the surrounding vineyards. The town itself doesn’t offer too much, but the Maison du Vin was worth the visit. The nearby village of Chavignol is interesting because of wine AND its famous cheese. Visits should include a few tastings at the numerous wineries.
We have rented homes all over France, and this was OUR FAVORITE OF ALL TIME. Our only regret was that we did not stay long enough! Again, this house was perfect in every way. Furnished as if it is a vacation house for caring owners, it is not like a typical VRBO. Its kitchen is very well appointed with anything you could need. Its renovations are ingenious and very well done, keeping the original character. I cannot say enough about how much we loved this visit, and we will look forward to a return.
Really lovely staff/owners. The very best thing about this hotel is their restaurant. We sat outside and had the four-course speciality menu. The food was outstanding. It was the main reason we booked this hotel and we were really impressed. Huge wine list and the help of a knowledgable sommelier. The room was huge and comfortable. Large bathroom and an excellent shower. We'd go again.
Breakfast was basic but perfectly acceptable and the staff were fantastic and really friendly :-)
The house is very comfortable since each bedroom has its own private shower and one room also has a private toilet. So we both had a private part, like in a hotel, and also a shared large sitting room with TV and kitchen. Perfect for two couples.
The host was very helpful, arranging taxi for us from the bus stop to the house and helping with luggage transport on our departure. (We did not have a car)
Characterful modernisation of ancient building, modest size but ideal for couple with easy walking to charming old town of Sancerre with an its spectacular hilltop position and of course famous wine. Good equipment in the logis. Street parking, might be an issue in high season. Excellent comms from hosts who responded quickly to queries. Will certainly stay again on a future occasion.
Excellent Sancerre location. Quiet neighborhood. Very popular with cyclists. Plenty of free on-street car parking. Appreciate that host stocked local Sancerre wine for purchase. Lots of kitchen appliances. Particularly appreciate having a washing machine and a place to hang-dry clothes. Very clean interior. This will sound strange, but fantastic toilet paper!!
Le Cep en Sancerrois is very close to city center, close to everything. The owners are a charming European couple who fell in love with Sancerre and moved there. Their knowledge of the city is broad and their enthusiasm for it is contagious. This is my favorite type of B&B: one where the owners make you feel like you are home or a family friend come to visit.
Lovely property. Great quiet location within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Great host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and wines. We managed to park very near to the property. The area felt safe. Would have no hesitation in recommending the property for a short stay in Sancerre.
The photographs do not do this property justice it is an absolutely beautiful place in a beautiful area, the deluxe room with balcony overlooking Sancerre square is particularly special. Ophelie and her husband are wonderful hosts and the Sancerre wine with the goats cheese was sublime. We cannot wait to return.
awesome hotel and breakfast in the very cute village of Chavignol. I used to go to their restaurant with my family and its really amazing also. The rooms are super clean, ours was probably the biggest on 2 floors, no bathtub though. Go to La Tour in Sancerre for a michelin star experience for dinner
Very well situated in Sancerre, simple but clean hotel, free parking right next to it. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff!
The Restaurant is absolutely amazing, no need to wander further for dinner. Great view from the terrace, including sunset - will most likely be back!
Location was excellent. It was only 1 1/2 blocks from most of the restaurants and a pharmacy and only about 3 blocks from the Tourist Office. The Coeur de France language school was only 5 minutes up the hill.
The view from this hotel is breathtaking, no wonder they called it Hotel panoramic.
Breakfast was very good, casual and quiet, in the breakfast Resturant over-looking the Sancerre grapevine fields.
Beautiful accommodations, wonderful host, perfect location in Sancerre…hope to come back and stay longer. It was amazing!! Ophelia was so thoughtful and her home is spectacular!
Fabulous apartment with the most stunning of vistas. Beautifully decorated. Parking was 50m from the property. Location was perfect for exploring Sancerre. Fabulous.
Beautiful interesting house from 16th century, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Helpful and friendly host. Great location near the centre of Sancerre
We LOVED how this property is in the center of Sancerre's little village. Everything was walkable, and the numerous vineyards were a quick ride/drive away!
