We stayed here only for one night while travelling down to the Provence. It's a nice hotel, friendly staff. The room interior was a bit dated but overall more than ok for those who are looking for a budget option next to the highway.

We have stayed in many locations in France and love the country. Beaune is the type of small city that ticks all the boxes. We always look for cities with populations of this size as they have areas of interest , good markets, modern facilities in ancient cities.
The best tip for people visiting France is the location, size of city - not more than 30,000 people and preferable 20,000 and not to travel in mid summer- it is too hot

For those who love HISTORY , good food and fabulous wines, Bourgogne is the place to visit , and Beaune is the largest city in the area.
To make burgundy wine, you need special soils , and exposition to the sun at certain moments of the day.
That part of France had différent owners, at the time of CHARLES QUINT ( the fifth) was built "Les Hospices de Beaune".
Now it belongs to France, since a few centuries.
At that time, and it is partly true to-day, Churches, Monasteries ,were protecting people in case of war or illness ,and were the only school, as well .
With their magnificent coloured tiled roofs, their architecture, their furniture, their Museum, Les Hospices de Beaune are UNIQUE in the world !

Interesting walled town with cobbled streets and old buildings worth a look, particularly the iconic hospices de Beaune with its unusual roof tiles. A decent selection of bars and restaurants around and off the main square. Town easily accessible from the autoroute.

This is a Beautiful place!!
This is a Beautiful place!! And if you stay within the Ring road, everything is mere minutes walking distance. If you are a wine lover at all, this NEEDS to be on your bucket list!
A couple of things to be aware of: Accommodations vary Wildly in price and comfort, so shop around! Eating out in Beaune is extremely expensive, so if you are on a budget, a place with your own kitchen can be a great choice. Check out the local operating hours...they run differently than just about anywhere else I have been! And come prepared to walk...public transport here is not as readily available as other places in France!

Great town for a break from the bigger cities.
Great town for a break from the bigger cities. Plenty of history and intersting things to do and see. The old walled part of the town was fascinating with plenty of excellent restauruants and bars as well as places of interest. We walked the wall and it was a great way to get a perspecitve on the old town.
We chose this accomodation for our trip to the heart of Burgundy. The apartment, little but lavishly refurbished, is very welcoming with its charme and facilities: the property is fully equipped (washing machine and microwave included), has a comfortable king size bed (surprisingly in France). It is located in a inner and quiet court, in the city Centre of Beaune, just around the corner of town’s highlights, restaurants, bar à vins and wine shops. Excellent position that makes your stay enjoyable and memorable! Perfect for couples!
The staff makes this place a 10/10. We showed up woefully unprepared. Late (due to a delayed train), unaware that reservations are a must, without means for transportation around Beaune. The staff stayed open late, so we could check-in after hours. Gave us a list of things to do around town. And lastly, called cabs for us to get in and out of town, including having the hosts husband drive us to the train station after we were unable to book one of the few taxis in town. This place is amazing. The definition of hospitality.
Le Central Boutique Hotel is probably the best place to stay in Beaune. The place is lovely, common spaces are beautifully furnished and staff is very nice and helpful, they help me rent a bike and let me keep it in their garage for the time needed during my stay. The host, Edgar, managed to build a very familiar environment, it really feels like home. Also, it's close to anything you'll ever need. I blow my birthday candle here, it has been my best stop in Burgundy!
We booked this apartment as a stop off whilst driving through France. Very nice apartment in an old French building, just outside the main part of Beaune, which is a lovely town. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the centre. We liked that there is secure private parking at the apartment. The apartment is well equipped and very spacious. The host Cyril is very nice and took the time to explain where everything was in town.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Nice comfortable room, nicely decorated. Great shower.
Good breakfast, very nice tea, enjoyed the choice of croissants and breakfast cake. There were breads, cheeses and cold meat, cereals , fruit and a choice of eggs plus sausages ( tho I didn't try them).
Location was great as a stopover to/ from S of France to Calais with the advantage of an easy walk to numerous restaurants.
Typical budget hotel offering usual adequate accommodation for the price. In tourist areas like Beaune it's just what one needs. Close by Budget eatery offering buffet salad, Cuisse de Canard & chips. Dessert &wine for 13.90pp. Fantastic value but not fine dining of course. Carrefour .and cheap petrol just down the road & within 2 mins from motorway to Toulon. Will be back.
The location was perfect. Very close to everything, but as quiet at night as it could be. We should have used the concierge more. The restaurant on the property is the best dinner we had in Beaune. It was stunning and with lovely ambience. The menu was inventive French. Delicious and beautiful. The staff were very professional and elite, yet so helpful and friendly. Excellent.
I have stayed several times at this hotel. I booked it for my mother in.law and wife who loved it!!! Friendly staff , very clean with comfortable beds and quiet. Also very easy to park and we all enjoy the swimming pool after driving for hours.. . The best hotel in Beaune although other hotels appear more stylish...
in summer it’s right at the foot of local vineyards but this is basically a ‘rack em and pack em’ bus tour hotel. it’s 2 km from the centre of town and a city, like much of france where taxis don’t exist. The rooms are functional.
I didn't have the chance to explore the hotel La Cloche since we arrived very, very, very late at night and left early in the morning, but overall it was a pleasant stay. The location is close but not in the very center of Beaune
First of all, Beaune was one of our favorite stays on a two week journey through France. The entire property is gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location in the city center.
The very best location in Beaune. In a walk distance frommain points, public free parking and surrounded by a lots of restaurants. Fair breakfast, good internet and very friendly staff.
We return to this lovely hotel just on the outskirts of Beaune every time we drive down through France. It never disappoints. Comfortable rooms, nice breakfast buffet, friendly staff.
Excellent property, super clean and comfortable. Centric location in beautiful Beaune. Cristina was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended!!
friendly staff, good location for stop over whilst travelling south of France, walking distance 20mins from restaurants in Beaune, good bed and quiet night
