In the center of Maisons-Laffitte, a village between the Seine river and Saint Germain forest well known for its high quality of living, you will benefit of its local facilities with an easy access to Paris. 200 yards from your apartment, you will enter the Maisons-Laffitte Park, a highly protected domain with large avenues, trees, and old family houses. The architecture of some of them gives a “Belle Epoque” feeling, as they were often vacation houses for wealthy Parisian families by the end of the 19th century. Many artists and writers lived in Maisons-Laffitte, like Jean Cocteau, Jacques de Lacretelle or Roger Martin du Gard. There are more horses in Maisons-Laffitte than inhabitants, and the local racecourse holds nationwide events. You will see stables, bridle paths and horses all around. If you feel like walking in the forest, you may do so in less than 10 minutes. To go to Paris, just walk to the station.
