Morzine is great for travel from UK for a short break as it is so close to Geneva. It's a lovely village with plenty of places to eat and drink, shops and things to do.
Resort is low so in a poor snow year you have to ski in Avoriaz, accessible by bus or the Super Morzine lift. The ski area is very large.

Morzine is a lovely town with plenty of bars and restaurants and shops, you do have to pre book the really popular restaurants though, as they do get really busy. The snow wasnt great in Morzine when we were there but really easy to get a bus to Avoriaz or the Super Morzine up and then a chair gets you to Avoriaz where the snow was amazing!

Morzine is a beautiful town.
Morzine is a beautiful town. It is only 1h:30 from Geneva so very accessible. The ski area in Morzine and Les Gets is extensive and offers plenty of variety for a full week. The only challenge is the snow. It is reasonably low and it can rain on the lower slopes. During school holidays the queues on the lifts around Morzine and Les Get can be long (up to 30 minutes). We were late picking up our daughter from ski school as a result. If you are not with young kids you can also head up to Avoriaz and the wider Port du Soleil.
Food-wise, I can recommend La Flamme, Le Grange, Le Grillon and Le Vaffieau.
I'd recommend using Easy2ride over ESF.

Morzine is an older, year-round village, not just a purpose-built ski resort, so has a good range of restaurants, cafes and shops and a variety of accommodation. The Bec Jaune micro-brewery/restaurant and L'Etale were both excellent places for a meal and helpful in accommodating a couple who hadn't booked in advance. The ski area is pretty, particularly the runs through the trees. There is obviously some excellent off-piste terrain. However, the resort is low (1000m) so snow conditions are always going to be a worry, as on this occasion when there was only mediocre on-piste skiing to be had. Would visit again, but only with a last-minute booking once I was sure conditions would be good during my stay.

We loved our time in Morzine. We were there to ski. The snow wasn't great when we visited. Nonetheless we had enjoyed the skiing, with plenty of variety on the slopes to suit all abilities. We thought Morzine itself was very picturesque and had plenty of nice restaurants. We plan on returning

Morzine is a family ski resort.
Morzine is a family ski resort. Maybe not enough night life for youngsters. It links with Les Gets and the whole Avoriaz area (Porte de Soleil), so a huge variety of skiing available. Lots of restaurants and bars available. Free buses around the town and surrounding areas to the lifts. I feel really at home there.
Absolutely amazing hotel, and very accommodating. They were overbooked when we stayed, so we were kindly put up in the residences next door which was beautiful. The food was unbelievably good. Chef was incredible - needs a Michelin star! Lovely family run hotel, warm, cosy, accommodating, great breakfast, definitely exceeded our expectations. Ski-in-ski out was fabulous too, great location at the bottom of Les Prodains lift up into Avoriaz ski area, and easy bus access into Morzine.
Chalet Manava is the perfect place for a short ski break. The chalet is super clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts provided are amazing, and will keep you going all day. Michael is a friendly, helpful and knowledgable host. The chalet is in a great location, just a short walk from town and the ski bus stops virtually outside, as someone who hates walking in ski boots, this was really important to me. would definitely recommend and will likely stay again.
Super kind and friendly staff (all including receptionist, spa, drivers, restaurant servers and others), very convenient in/out to ski telecabin with the free shuttle service, great breakfast and dinner, amazing spa and sauna facility, and the room also had a nice bathtub as well. I really enjoyed my stay overall. The view was very nice from the room as well.
Contemporary but cosy with a huge attention to detail with all amenities you would expect of a ski resort hotel. Suitable for families and couples. Quick walk to Super Morzine lift or bus to the Prodain Express outside the hotel. Restaurant excellent and room/bathroom great. Best shower! All staff super friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home.
Location was amazing, just under Prodains cable car up to Avoriaz, very near ski rental shop and served by free shuttle bus around Morzine. Chalet itself was in a really picturesque setting, quieter than in the main town which suited us very well. The chalet was so beautiful, cosy, and warm. Check-in and check-out were flawless experiences.
Rooms were very spacious for a ski hotel in France and the beds reasonably comfortable. The kids loved the pool and hot tub.
The food was very good but, while not a problem for us, did not include any vegetarian options.
The service was also very good, they even catered for us the first night when we arrived (due to flight delays) late.
Very friendly staff -Cedric & Françoise.
Good breakfast, cosy lounge & bar, hot sauna
Fun games room with table tennis & pool table
Free parking
Great location for Morzine & the main lifts
Kindly allowed to keep one of our rooms until 5pm on the last day, to store our luggage & shower before leaving
Everything is well thought to make you feel like home, the design, the hot pool, the service, the quality of the restaurant, the comfortable beds, the kid s area…and with lot of taste! Modern but full of charm, an authentic family-owned hotel. We loved it!
Living room was very comfortable for 7 ppl to enjoy dinner and down time. Master bedroom w/ en-suite was very spacious, and the other bedrooms were also comfortable. The shared bathroom was very luxurious, and made it easier having so many ppl using it.
We stayed at this hotel during Tour de France. Morzine was the finish line city of one of the stages. Beautiful ski resort hotel in a cute ski resort community! Gondola lift is right outside the front door. Would love to come back during ski season.
This Chalet was lovely, it had lots of homely features and plenty of space, the owner made us feel very welcome. It was a short walk from the Ski lift to Avoriaz and into the town center. It was a quite and peaceful in the evening.
Super little hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Lift to and from the ski lifts every day and went out of their way to help repeatedly. Definitely recommended for a great value enjoyable stay in Morzine!
Excellent family run hotel. Incredible food and service. Lovely rooms and great spa facilities. Brilliant location, 5 minutes walk to Super Morzine ski lift, ski rental shop and town.
Hotel warm and very quiet, staff friendly and very helpful, 5 mins walk to 2 main ski lifts and Morzine centre, room nice with balcony, bed comfortable, room made up each day.
Cheap and simple apartment, with a well equipped kitchen.
Short walk to the shop.
The location is ok once you figure out how to use the free bus service.
Room was warm, comfortable and spacious enough for a single person. Staff were welcoming and helpful with most issues apart from WIFI. Breakfast was nice.
