The size of the room was great and the location was perfect for our trip. We were going to visit the WWI graveyard the next day and wanted to stay overnight in the port near the center. We had an elderly family member with us so walking was an issue hence the close location choice. The room was really big and had a fully fitted kitchen plus on-site parking. Perfect for our needs.

Everything was super, the location is no more than 10 minutes on foot to the centre and to the beach as well. Fantastic beach. We enjoyed swimming and wandering along the port. The owner of the property welcomed us from the moment of arriving and she was ready to offer all kinds of help and information about the city. She responded to my messages in five minutes.

surprisingly a great fishing town better than the flamish Belgium coastal towns , people are tranquil and friendly , food is surprisingly great and cheaper, shoppers would also like it , foodies would love it , hiking and trekking places can be discovered in near by communes , do visit historic museums , fort and castles around also the crypt museum

We liked the old town but the rest of it was very down at heel and disappointing. It may be the that building work on the other side will improve the area but as we were staying in the middle of the works it was very unattractive

With only 24 hours, we only saw the old town, which is unspoilt (the most important feature for us of any destination). There were excellent traditional family run restaurants offering good traditional French food at reasonable prices. Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood. The historical city is worth a short visit. A lot of choice in restaurants and fish shops. Nice beach and waterfront sites. A part of the marina neigbourhoud is under reconstruction, the result will be very nice.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is a small but pleasant town to visit if you want to escape from the busy city life. We visited Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe! It was worth the drive from Holland! That was the main reason for out trip.

Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean; the breakfast was plentiful and of a high standard with delicious homemade jams. The old town of Boulogne-sur-Mer is right across the road and a short walk takes you to the port where we had an excellent evening meal in a great restaurant. The view from the room, looking down into Boulogne and to the left of the Cathedral was lovely and a super start to our holiday. The inclusive breakfast was good, varied and plentiful and the ceiling in the breakfast room was beautifully painted with a classical scene. There was free parking across from the hotel and also a large car park further round. There were several restaurants to choose from in the old town under the arch by the Cathedral.

We were also able to have a slightly earlier check in. Very polite and helpful staff.
