Bayeux is a small walkable village but the hotel location was just off the main drag enough to make it peaceful. The restuarant was excellent with a number of good choices. The breakfast was just ok. The location was very close to the departure area for all the tours.

Host or concierge did not show up with key.
Host or concierge did not show up with key. Had difficulty finding which unit it was and only deduced it by looking at several photos. Cheap furnishings. Cleaning materials inside shower. Patio/terrace unusable and unsafe.

I am trying to update my review of La Cour Royale but the site is not letting me. I answered no breakfast - this was an answer to a Booking.com question and not a put down on the accommodation - it was a flat and I did not expect breakfast. I also put a rating of 5 out of ten for staff because this was a flat and I didn’t expect staff! I hope this clears this up. It was an excellent place to stay and would like to again.

The city is beautiful and easy to get around in by foot. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral and The Tapestry as well as a couple restaurants and an awesome pastry shop.
Taxi service is limited (allow plenty of time to await a taxi). Uber service did not exist.

Bayeux is a lovely town and very central to all of the D Day beaches and many other interesting places related to WW2.
The town is not too big so a lot can be seen in a reasonable space of time.
The British memorial cemetery there is one of the most poignant I visited.

Our tour of the D. day beaches was very interesting and moving. The Norte Dame Cathedral de Bayeux was a highlight of the city as well as the tour of the Tapestry. Restaurants were all outstanding. We would love to go back.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel while visiting Normandie. Selma and Gregory were exceptionally welcoming, the hotel is charming and comfortable, a mix of modern amenities in an historic French chapel complex set in the heart of lovely Bayeux. The attached cafe, called Selma Alabama, serves coffee, pastries and a delicious breakfast, also recommended. A great assortment of brasseries surround the hotel for plenty of dinner options and there are great shopping options nearby as well. I would return here if traveling to Normandie.
Our stay in Le Tardif, Noble Guesthouse and the city of Bayeux were the highlight of a trip consisting of Normandy, Amsterdam and Oslo. The hotel is situated in the perfect place in town allowing easy walking to all the restaurants and sites. The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff and owners were extremely helpful and attentive creating a wonderful guest experience. After experiencing the decor of the rooms and the wonderful grounds and gardens, my wife and I realized why the hotel has its name. A truly fascinating stay.
We loved our stay at Belle Normandy. The location is perfect, with beautiful grounds right on the edge of town, only a five minute walk to the cathedral and all the shops and restaurants. Our kids enjoyed the basketball hoop and would have stayed at the hotel much longer if they could have! The staff were amazing. They were friendly and helpful on recommendations, and they also seem very proud of the hotel, which was renovated from an old school. It is a very special place, and I highly recommend it.
We loved this spacious house in Bayeux for our family of 6! They even adjusted the be configuration for us, and the staff of the hotel that manages the house was always available for what we needed, from getting a taxi to letting us borrow an iron when we needed it. It was in a great spot to walk to everything in Bayeux, even to and from the train station! It was also so cool to wake up and see the cathedral outside my bedroom window.
The location is prefect for traveling around Normandy. The family who owns the house was great and would definitely go back. The owners took us on a tour of Normandy free of charge. The town of Bayeux is a quite and cute city with plenty of resources and activities. The house easily accommodated 6 of us and had a beautiful back yard. Highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to Normandy.
This was a last minute find due to an unexpected cancellation. Much better than the one we had originally booked. Simple, plain little apartment in a fully restored historic building on the edge of the old town centre. Perfectly located. We stayed 4 nights. Easy to get in and out of Bayeux. We also always got a parking space right at the gate in the street.
We needed one room for one night for a family of 4 and stayed in the top annex room. Perfect place to lay our heads before our Normandy tour the next morning. Girls loved popping into the pool/hot tub after a day of traveling and breakfast was perfect with lots of drink and food options. Great central location to walk around Bayeux after dinner.
Amazing stay at this lovely manor. Highly recommend it for a stay to visit Bayeux and the surrounding areas including DDAY sites along Normandy. Christine is a superb host and the property is very charming and a very relaxed place to enjoy downtime. A pleasant 10-15 minute walk into the town of Bayeux ( it doesn't feel that long).
Our 4-night stay at Domaine de Bayeux was exceptional in all respects. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was larger than a typical UK hotel room and perfectly clean. Breakfast was complete with hot and cold items. We would stay hear again! It was a short and convenient 5-7 minute walk to the center of town.
Host was extremely helpful and met us at the property. The location was perfect, walking distance to centre and Bayeux Tapestry Museum. Clean and modern apartment with excellent shower and comfy pillows and bed. Kitchenette was small but very useful too. Short drive to all Normandy beaches, memorials and museums.
The staff was wonderful. We had the room with a couch and it was a big room. The location was great. The atmosphere in the lounge with the fire place and chairs was awesome. I saw a review the hotel didn’t have air conditioning. It’s Normandy! You don’t need it. I would stay here again
Everything about this hotel is wonderful: the welcome and helpful staff, the great room with everything that you could need, great location between the train station and the town centre, the beautiful grounds, and the fantastic breakfast. I will definitely stay here again!
Excellent staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful the location is excellent to visit the war cemetery in Bayeux and the museum and then to make your way to Caen, and the beaches Normandy is a beautiful area, clean and highly recommend
All staff polite and helpful, great breakfast and a perfect location in Both Bayeux and in the greater area of Normandy. Nice room too. Had a great short stay here. Ideally located in center of Bayeux near to Cathedral and Tapestry.
This hotel was just what we needed for a one-night stay and exploring Bayeux. The room was small but very clean. Clean towels were provided. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
