This was the most amazing place we stayed in France. The accommodations were so beautiful and the entire experience was once-in-a-lifetime perfection! Our host Christophe made every moment fabulous -- from dinner to breakfast to several entertaining and enlightening conversations. He also had great advice for visits in the area. And, the views from across the moat to the chateau were surreal. We would go back here in a heartbeat.

Staying at this charming Manoir was like living in a fairytale for a night. The room, the lounge, the library , all were perfectly appointed in the best of taste and suited the 16th/17th century dwelling that we called our own for 20 hours. And the location! Sitting in the garden by the moat, gazing at that castle, while swans and ducks meandered around us and the lowering sun played upon the water… as I said, an absolute Fairytale. Our hosts Pascale and Christophe were delightful, and made our stay not only comfortable , but stimulating, with explanations of their artwork that filled the rooms. Without a doubt, the best Chambre d’hôtes we have ever stayed in!

The location of the Manoir de Livet was amazing, just across the moat of the Chateau Saint Germain de Livet and above a Creperie. The owners of both the Creperie and the Manoir, Pascuale and Christophe, are wonderful hosts, very helpful and super-friendly. The bedroom and the adjacent library / TV room were attractively decorated. The queen bed was quite comfortable although one side was up against the wall. There was a clawfoot bathtub and a walk-in shower with good water pressure. My wife and I had a peaceful picnic dinner outside on the terrace with ducks and swans floating nearby in the chateau's moat. Christophe provided an excellent breakfast. We really enjoyed our one night stay and we highly recommend the Manoir de Livet.

Spent one night at Manoir de Livet at the end of our 2 weeks trip to France and was absolutely charmed by the place. Great setting, ambiance, the host Christophe was charming, friendly and helpful, booked us a dinner in a great restaurant in the area. The Manoir is an amazing property just across the moat from an old and beautiful Chateau which we admired during the breakfast, it’s like a fairytale setting. It’s just one bedroom in the property so you have a house all to yourself with a beautiful library upstairs, interior is very creative and tasteful. Loved the stay, would definitely come back but stayed longer this time. Elena and Darran.
