I cannot say enough good things about this incredible lodge. The pictures on the website are beautiful, but when you arrive it is even better! We were greeted by a lovely young lady who oriented us to the lodge and gave us great advice on things to do in the area by asking what our sightseeing preferences were. We booked a room facing Mont Blanc with a balcony. We had an incredible straight on view of the mountains and the village. We could barely leave our balcony the view was so perfect. The lodge has a restaurant. We ate there both evenings and the food, presentation and service were extraordinary. We did not participate in the full breakfast, but instead had coffee in one of the lovely sitting rooms off the bar. Parking was directly in front of the lodge. One thing we did not know is they offer a free rail pass which takes you to many of the close by cities, including Chamonix. The only negative about this beautiful mountain lodge was having to leave. If you are visiting this area, and looking for a mountain experience, I strongly recommend Les Campanules.

Very nice area with beautiful mountain views, right under the famous Mont Blanc, easy to access quite a lot of ski lifts taking you up to the ski slopes. Very high level professional ski slopes
Les Houches' downside is their council operated facilities have arrogant staff (not including the cashier staff who are very nice). Ski slopes sign posts are very very badly done and very unclear. Maps are not nicely done not clear.

I never been treated so bad by a receptionist like in this hotel. I called in the afternoon trying to find out how to get there from a sports event I was attend in Chamonix, and besides saying that this was not her problem, she turned the phone off on my face. I walked for 1h20 with my bags in the middle of the night to get there. Next day I explained the reason I could not stay the 2nd night, and she prompt said she would refund me. After quite few emails and now answer, I left a review here explaining other people that if you dont have a car, its impossible to reach the place (but they do not mention this on the hotel description). So today I called the hotel to follow up about my refund and the lady she screamed at me on the phone. She said because of my review, she would not refund. And again, that was my problem how I would get to the hotel. She turned the phone off on my face again. Never had such treatment in years booking hotels for my sports events.
I would like to let everyone knows about this situation, so no one can be fooled like I was.

Great place for all the family to ski together from the oldest in our group at 64 to the youngest at 6. All our kids and grandkids have learned to ski here, with a variety of slopes and challenges for everyone. We like the Kitch Inn restaurant in the village amongst others.
Been coming here for the last 15 yrs

Les Houches is a great little ski area.
Les Houches is a great little ski area. It may not have the long runs of some resorts but we enjoyed all it had and enjoyed not having to queue for lifts. We actually had a full week of sunshine - which always helps, but is not able to be controlled.
The bed was really comfy, balcony had a lovely view of the mountains, the rooms were ordered on daily basis in an non-invasive manner. The restaurant had a good offer of rather simple but tasty meals. Even though there was no green salad on the menu they made one for us. Very appreciated. A nice supermarket is 500m away. The famous hiking trails easy to reach by car. The hotel has a warm water pool which is really nice to relax the muscles after many hours of walking.
The apartment was clean and big enough for a family of 4 with two large teenagers. The kitchen had everything we needed and a large fridge. The apartment is kept very warm by central heating. The owner is lovely and communicates immediately. It is close to a very good ski hire shop and is walking distance to all the local shops (including an excellent Fromagerie). Les Houches has easy access to all the ski slopes and the train for the Ice Cave.
Room - appartement was really specious and clean. We did not take breakfast, but you can order it if you want.
We had a small kitchen in the room - perfect decision for families.
Pool was really nice after the days of skiing - kids adored it.
Only remark for travellers - you will probably need a car ( especially with kids) to travel, because hotel is not in the town. But for us it was not a problem.
The studio is in a great location. Very central for us. Directly across the road from the main ski lift. Ski hire shop next door. Also cafe/bakery next door for fresh bread in mornings, and for a beer or vin chaud after skiing all day. Car parking on site and ski locker on ground floor. Everything we needed.
Les Houches has some nice restaurants - can recommend trying Raclette at La Ferme Des Agapes.
The place was perfect for our ski Holiday in the Chamonix area. We were two families, a total of 10 people, and were comfortable, including the attached suite that provided extra privacy. Everything was clean and well-stocked. The sauna and hot tub were a nice touch after a full day of skiing, and the location was perfect for being close to the slopes (we alternated between LesHouches and Chamonix).
- the hotel is located on the main road towards the Mnt Blanc and Chamonix.
- The hotel is very nicely decorated, as is the restaurant and the outside part of the terrace.
- We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, it was delicious and the price was appropriate. The hotel also offers a swimming pool, sauna and hammam.
- in front of the hotel is big parking space
Lovely modern apartment with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The extra toilet is a big plus. The balcony was a perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was great to cook in. Perfect location by a bus stop and a supermarket, about a 10-15 min walk to Les Houches centre. We loved the flat and didn't want to leave.
Very close to the gondola, which made getting up the mountain easy. Frequent buses only 5 mins away to get to Chamonix and other places in Les Houches. Very comfortable sofa bed and good cooking facilities. Balcony with excellent view of the mountain and sunrise. Ski locker in front of the door saved time and money.
To wake up in bed looking over to a view of Mont Blanc glistening in the morning diligent was a dream. Everything about the place was perfect. If you want to eat in the restaurant it’s good to book in advance, we didn’t and it was full, and there is not much on offer in Les Houches on a Monday.
Great location for exploring the area, attentive host, and a very nice property. Chamonix and other towns are a short drive. I am so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel for twice as much.
Themed boutique hotel. Great staff, clean rooms and plentiful breakfast. There are bus stops outside the property for easy access to all destinations in the Chamonix valley
Location is very good, close to everything in Les Houches, there is a good restaurant in the hotel. Room was well sized, with a decent bathroom. It is easy to park around.
Everything about the hotel, but about the restaurant, the food is great but the chef or chefs put toooo much salt on the dishes, but I think that is not unusual in France
