The owners, Tom and Ruth, and their son were so helpful and pleasant and really care about their wonderful hotel. The pool area has wonderful character and the surrounding mountain area is beautiful. Staff is the friendliest we have found in any hotel in France and probably it is because of their commitment that this hotel is still up and running with style. Great to have free parking and swimming pool in this location. very spacious rooms with a terrace to sit outside

Vence is under-rated when compared to its more illustrious neighbours Tourette’s and St Paul de Vence. But it is just as pretty and more interesting in what it offers. The main church is really interesting with its museum upstairs. Good choice of restaurants but book in advance as they get busy!

Vence is the most fabulous town. It’s close proximity to Nice and the beach is a great advantage too. It has a brilliant selection of excellent restaurants of high standard. The overall character of the old town is spectacular. I cannot wait to revisit this amazing town.

There are many charming villages within an hour's drive of Nice. We have stayed in half a dozen of them. Vence is unpretentious, full of character and a place to return to. While it attracts tourists, real people live here and the quality of life is exemplary.

Vence very pretty Hill top town , in winter few tourists which is fine , but also many places closed . Restaurants which were open had few patrons ( we were only 2 in one place, Les Agapes which had good food ). 2 days is plenty.
Just beautiful! One of our favorite stays during our trip! Charming and modern touches throughout, including the awesome sunny patio. The apartment has everything you need for a short to long stay. We wish we had stayed longer than one evening, as Vence itself is a vibrant and charming town. Friendly people and a very nice old town area that is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the apartment. The evening views (and morning for that matter!) are so breathtakingly beautiful. So peaceful and quiet. We were charmed! :)
The hotel in Vence is located about 20 km away from Nice airport where we flew to and found it fairly easy to locate. (Good old sat nav)
The hotel had all the amenities we required. The staff were extremely helpful, even when we arrive just before midnight nothing was too much trouble.
The centre of the vibrant town of Vence was beyond our expectations. Quaint, narrow streets, plenty of restaurants serving excellent food and while we were there a fantastic evening market.
A gem of a hotel. There can’t be many places like this left in France. It’s like stepping back in time. I really loved our room (Modigliani). It was rather austere, but utterly charming. Spotlessly clean, and there was even a bowl of complementary fruit. Breakfast was excellent, with exceptional coffee. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back for longer, as Vence is a lovely town and the Auberge is perfectly placed to make the most of it.
The house is very nice, the location is perfect. It is very quiet. The host is very kind. Check in is easy. Perfect location to visit the Cote d'Azur. Easy to get to Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Esterel etc. St. Paul de Vence is very near. After visiting this busy areas it is so nice to relax in this house. We certainly recommend this stay!
Fantastic location to explore the town of Vence, surrounding areas and the french coast. Very spacious and comfortable room.
Great french breakfast with very attentive staff, who gives excellent recommendations to discover the local area.
Very cool interior design throughout the hotel.

Breathtaking location, beautiful garden, very comfortable bed, great breakfast. Even the soaps are from local Provence perfumeries which was fun. Julien runs the show perfectly and is very hospitable, considerate and communicative
Nice calm rustic place with good view. Place had everything you need for family stay. All locations like Cannes and Nice are short drive away. Vence itself is beautiful small town well worth visiting and is walking distance away.
Great location in the heart of vence and near the supermarche, Celine was a welcoming and helpful host, had all the essentials you could need including small kitchenette and laundry, perfect for a solo traveller or couple.
Beautiful property, garden, location & hosts. Perfect base for exploring this special part of France. Unrivalled access to hiling trails into the mountains and to historic villages like Tourette Sur Loup.
Hotel is very cute and nicely decorated, the best part is the outside and the view over the mountains. City center is 10min walk. Pet friendly, parking is right in front. Rooms are small but comfortable.
We loved everything at this charming hotel with its lovely garden. Great breakfast with everything you could want - fresh fruit croissants bread, home made cake and more. It was perfect for us.
