Kilcreeny Lodge, hotel in Moira

Offering a shared lounge and garden view, Kilcreeny Lodge is set in Lisburn, 25 km from The Waterfront Hall and 25 km from SSE Arena.

My first visit to Northern Ireland so I didn't know what to expect. I picked Kilcreeny Lodge as I wished to be close to Belfast but not in Belfast itself and I found Kilcreeny Lodge ideally located. Whilst it's on a quiet country road within minutes you can connect with major roads so travelling around Northern Ireland was very easy. The views over the surrounding area are wonderful and reminded me of the farms and fields of England 60 years ago ... wildflowers, mature trees in the hedgerow, etc not huge fields of Rape Seed England seems to grow nowadays.

Moira is such a beautiful village.

Moira is such a beautiful village. I went for a walk in Moira Demesne. I cycled in the area and I went for a jog down along the canal which was absolutely stunning. There is a fantastic restaurant / bar next door, called the Stillhouse and the food there is mouthwatering and great value for money. There is also a lovely coffee shop across the street called Fine, which does very fine food too. It's very convenient to the motorway as well....

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed as a group of friends who were attending a wedding in Moira and the venue was ideal for all our needs. We had a family, couples and single people all who had their own space plus an excellent communal space to meet in one of the cottages when required. Each cottage was unique and felt traditional with a modern twist. I would highly recommend Clenaghs to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Buttons the dog also made us feel welcome. The restaurant food was just delightful. Staff very friendly. The location was perfect for walking and Moira was only a short drive away.

I stay here every time I visit family in Northern Ireland. The restaurant is always used for a get together meal, as the food is always good and great value. The old buildings have such character, however they are well heated (necessary with stone walls), clean and enough facilities for a stay.

We were delighted with our visit to Valley Stream Guest House. We stayed in the annex where we enjoyed our own little apartment. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with croissants, fruit and cereal for breakfast. Great value ! Laura was a lovely friendly host
