Hi. My name is Katherine. As seen in the BBC, ITV and in The Sunday Times. I'm a yoga and meditation teacher and I run yoga, horse therapy, meditation, and wellness events in the heart of the Lake District. Feel free to book a horse meditation, a meditation class, in nature, or a private yoga session somewhere beautiful. I also team up with other Lake District adventurers to offer unique adventure days. It's my absolute pleasure to assist you in making your holiday as relaxing and as fun as possible. We are happy to chat and have a drink to guests but at times we are busy with children or running retreats and will be largely absent. Please don’t take this personally. The kitchen is a social space. As is the garden down by the river. We reserve the patio immediately to the rear of the house to ourselves and ask you not to use it. Thank you

The Pyg Room is a deluxe and quirky bohemian room, Located within our house and consists of One large bedroom and a private bathroom. You are invited to make use of our fully equipped kitchen. and is stocked with all the necessary supplies. The bathroom has a bath, shower , a toilet and sink . The suite looks onto a large backyard with a lawn and the River Rothay running through. 2 minutes walking distance from Rydal Water in the Central Lakes. The view looks out onto a beautiful garden and river. It has a real log fire with free firewood and a newly refurbed bathroom. You will be in short walking distance to lake, waterfalls, caves, mountain walks and lush forests. You will be a 5 minute walk from Rydal Hall and Wordsworths home, 10 minute walk from the Badger Bar pub mile easy walk to both Ambleside and Grasmere.

The Pyg room in the Hermitage, is located in Rydal, a classic Lakeland village of historic importance. Mainly Famed for its pristine lakes and waterfalls, Rydal Hall and Estates and it’s association with the world famous poet laureate William Wordsworth. There is fantastic walks and the area is a Mecca for wild swimming. Lots of museums and historic houses. Everything is in walking distance. If you’re want to hop on the local 555 bus you can explore further a field. In the summer the area does become more difficult to drive around due to tourist traffic.
