Best Western Walton Park Hotel, hotel in Brockley

B/W Walton Park Hotel has a stunning cliff-top location, overlooking the Severn Estuary and Welsh Hills. It has spacious bedrooms, free private parking and free WiFi throughout.

Staff very friendly. I booked an executive room with view. The room was clean and had good views over the estuary. For a four star rating the room was basic. Bedside lights didn't work. Bed passable. For a large room could have done with a sofa. The bathroom was poor. Although clean the bathroom furniture dated . Washbasin cracked. Shower did not have a thermostat to adjust temperature and worked directly from the taps. I haven't come across this in a long time. Not safe. No bathmat so could skid in the bath. No handrails. I didn't use the shower as we only staid one night and didn't fancy using it. The complementary toiletries were the minimum that could be offered. We dined in the restaurant and had fish and chips. I don't know why such poor chips were served as there is plenty of choices to purchase probably at the same price. They were of poor quality. Finally, we were bemused that the terrace bar didn't have a terrace and the terrace was located 2or 3 flights down! Finally the fire alarm went off at 1.30pm but this was not a problem.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with difficulty walking as it really is a long drag from the main road, plus you have to park across the road and the road is extremely busy with high speed traffic. It is in a lovely setting just needs some TLC Henry the owner was very pleasant

Lovely property but in the wrong hands.

Lovely property but in the wrong hands. Mouldy fruit, old Lidl produce in the fridge, and everything inside done on the cheap. No oven which to me says not self catered as advertised. Wifi only in half the apartment - needs a signal booster installed. Shoddy kitchen utensils and dirty/dusty glasses and plates. Yuck. I'd rather stay home where I keep my place clean and buy nice things for my fridge.
