If ever your in the area or passing through Bristol you have to go to Clifton to see the suspension bridge, it is awe inspiring im not really into bridges but my other half has been talking about this bridge for years, we finally got round to visiting Bristol, we did a mini city break on the way through to stay at burnham on sea for a week with the kids. When you walk up the hill towards the top where you first get a glimpse of the bridge it almost takes your breath away i cant get my head around how high up it is, its crazy to think this was built when they didnt have the massive machinery we do today. At the top of the hill there is a little gift shop that sells magnets and such, but the other attractions there is the cave that goes underground from the gift shop, if your brave enough to walk down in the dark, which my other half did, also if you climb some steep steps up to a room there is a really old mirror obscurer where you close the doors to darkness and in front of you appears almost like an old fashioned video of the clifton bridge where you can see all the cars and people travelling across it was like watching a very old black and white movie. Word of warning there is 1 toilet up there and its hidden,no signs which we found weird, we walked into a restaurant around the side and was told its closed to the public and we cant use the toilet but there is 1 around the other side so we went in search round and round the building we walked untill a lady asked if we were looking for the toilet as she had also been searching, also there was no toilet paper so take your own.

Marmalade Cafe, Worrall Road.
Marmalade Cafe, Worrall Road. A great flat white. don't leave without a smoked bacon, cheddar, jalapeno baguette. A very photogenic Doris the dog. A beyond hospitable front of house Lisa. And on a good day, a singing chef called Shim.

The hotel is in a great central location and so close to St Nicks market, which is great for food and all sorts of stuff. The staffing level appeared minimal but very kind and helpful, while multi tasking. The room was a great option for 3 friends spending a night together in Bristol and so was good value, in spite of the sofa bed not being the best option. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we were heading for Clifton but it looked good.
Location is ideal for Clifton and the Downs - it’s close to amenities, but also peaceful - loved the mews and parking on the spot. The house is very well equipped.
Location was great for walking into Clifton or city centre
Private parking. Invaluable.
Modern facilities
Comfort of sofa, beds even lovely soft fluffy towels and quality of everything.
Range of available appliances.
Clear and concise instructions of how to access apartment
We really enjoyed our stay in Clifton. The flat is very clean, quiet and comfortable.
The beds were nice and comfortable, too.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this flat to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the city!
The apartment was clean, well equipped and has very comfortable bed. A pint of milk in the fridge is always a really thoughtful touch for a cup of tea after a long journey. It was great to find somewhere with parking in Clifton. It's perfectly placed for exploring this part of Bristol on foot and easy to get down into Bristol centre or the surrounding countryside.
Location is excellent, right on pretty Victoria square, Really close to Clifton Village and a bus stop to the centre right outside the door.
Hotel is quaint and traditional, lovely character.
Rooms were very clean and have lovely views.
Safe parking on site - excellent
The room decor was lovely and the bed very comfortable. As a single person it was nice to be able to book a single room rather than pay for a double. Hotel was well located in the Clifton area so easy to walk to restaurants/cafes etc.
So close to shops, restaurants and a high street in Clifton. Fairly quiet street. Apartment had everything we wanted and more. Virtual key security.
