Please familiarise yourself with the room information and amenities. Here are a few important points to note: Parking: Available for one vehicle only and must be booked before arrival. Deluxe Double Room with En-suite Shower: Located on the top floor of the house, up two flights of stairs. Part of the WC area and other areas in the space are built into the eaves of the house, so it may not be suitable for guests over 182cm / 6ft. The Twin and Double Room: Share a bathroom. Experience a peaceful stay at an elegant townhouse boasting three bespoke rooms, a guest lounge, a dining area, and a workspace. Situated on a quiet street, just a short walk from the city centre, this recently refurbished property blends heritage charm with contemporary styling and amenities, including soundproof windows. Enjoy orthopaedic beds, premium linens, Netflix-equipped TV, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Nearby conveniences include a local supermarket, ATM, off-licence, along with local restaurants and a bakery. Positioned near Gillygate, it's just a short stroll to York Minster, the city walls, and the historic medieval area.
Born and raised in Yorkshire. I’m happy share my local knowledge of attractions, places to eat, shops and events with you. There is also a small freindly dog who lives in the private part of the home and sometimes in the garden. He is not allowed on the guest floors. But if you wish to meet him he would be delighted. The safety and security of our guests still remains our #1 priority. We are following enhanced cleaning protocols, hand sanitiser stations throughout the house, self check-in/out and remote guest communication.
The location is fantastic, a quiet residential street within the conservation area of the City of York. A few minutes walk from the Minster and all the attractions in the historic city centre. The street has has a supermarket, ATM and local cafe and restaurants offering delivery and take away. It's just off boho-chic Gillygate, famous for its independent boutique shops, award wining restaurants, traditional pubs, artisan food outlets, coffee shops and friendly community vibe.
