We bought Fairburn in 2011 and were immediately captivated by its elevated position commanding fantastic views over the Moray Firth (North Sea). The 3 bedroom cottage sits in 4 acres of fenced private grounds and is perfect for dog lovers. We carried out major renovation work to bring the property up to scratch including the installation of new windows, kitchen, ensuite bathroom and log burner. The cottage has all the comforts of home including free wifi and digital tv and dvd player.

Fairburn is situated between the traditional Highland villages of Brora and Helmsdale...just off the North Coast 500 tourist route (A9). There is a fantastic sandy beach which can be reached in 30 minutes by foot or 5 minutes in the car. You can see this from the property. Brora and Helmsdale have plenty of things to see and do. Both villages have golf courses (18 hole links course at Brora is world renowned). Salmon fishing is possible in Helmsdale with the right permits. There are lots of opportunities to hike over the hills of Glen Loth behind the property. The property is well positioned for those wishing to venture further up the coast to John O'Groats or the Orkney Islands. Day trips are possible all over the Northern Highlands to Inverness, Ullapool, Lairg, Durness and Loch Ness.
