We are a small family run agency in the centre of York, and we manage a collection of historic properties in the city centre. We advertise through our own website and through various online agents, and we are delighted to welcome you to our city. When you book one of our properties, we will be in contact to provide you with directions and check in details and to check if you need anything specific for your stay. We remain on hand to support you during your stay.

Property info

This imposing building on the corner of Friargate and Castlegate was built in the 1700s filled with history and character. Close to the city centre, with Clifords Tower, the Tower Museum and Coppergate on the doorstep, Castlegate has a collection of bars and restaurants, and York Cocoa House is right next door. The house has parking for one medium sized car right out the front, and is laid out over 4 floors, with three double bedrooms and one twin room.  The three double rooms have ensuite shower rooms, with the master suite also having a seperate bathing room.  The twin room on the top floor shares the bathroom on the 2nd. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, this wonderful property is perfect for family get-togethers or staying away with friends to explore our historic city. Summary of Facilities: Ground Floor Kitchen - small seating area, cooker, hob, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, with a utility room next to this which has a washer/dryer. Dining Room - seating for 8, includes a sofa and TV Toilet with wash basin First Floor Master bedroom, with Super King, ensuite shower room, and separate bathing room with free standing bath Living Room - beautifully furnished with TV Second Floor Two double bedroom with ensuite shower rooms one of the ensuites has shared access from the hallway Third Floor Twin bedroom, with attic ceiling and exposed beams Also Free Wifi Two well behaved dogs welcome All linen and towels provided

Neighborhood info

Our properties are all within the city walls, and York is a very small city, so everything is on your doorstep. Friargate House is close to Cliffords Tower and the Castle Museum, as well as the Coppergate Centre which is where the Yorvik Museum is located. Everything is within easy walking distance and you are surrounded by many fantastic local independent bars, cafes and restaurants.
