They were very friendly on arrival and throughout my two night stay. It felt like I was staying with extended family. it was clean, comfortable. and breakfast was lovely served promptly. I liked having my own room & front door key to come/go as I please. I enjoyed two peaceful & comfortable nights sleep. I was spoilt staying in a single but it was a small double bed & for the price happy to have an en-suite. I was one of the youngest guests there at 38. :D overall great value for money for a B&B and it’s a 2 minute walking distance of the beach and high street. I stayed over for a wedding at the tunnels, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This small and licensed family-run, dog friendly property is ideally located in Ilfracombe, a 3 minute walk from the harbor, shops and seafront. The Lundy sailing point, Landmark Theater and bus station are just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel offers views of Capstone Hill and the North Devon Coast from its bar area and some bedrooms. The Harcourt is situated in a great location, a few minutes from the picturesque Harbour, High street shops and Sea front. An ideal place for taking the boat to Lundy Island or for those wanting to explore Woolacombe and Exmoor. We endeavour to accommodate your wishes, wherever possible, and hope that as a small family run business we can offer the 'personal' touch that larger places cannot. All rooms are shower ensuite, with toiletries. All have beverage making facilities. We are happy to advise on the many restaurants that the town has to offer, accommodating all budgets. We have a great licensed bar, (serving a selection of draught beers, wines and spirits), a games room and an outside veranda, all overlooking Capstone hill, with sea views. Our Full English breakfast, made with local produce, is included at no extra cost and we have a variety of options available. We cater for vegetarian/vegan and other special dietary requirements. (Please note, we are situated over four floors, with no lift, so please advise of any mobility issues when booking. We will do our best to situate you on the lower floors, but cannot guarantee this. My name is Kirsty and my family and I have been at the hotel for twenty eight years. I took over in 2001, when my father passed away. I love being a hotelier, it is very hard work, but very rewarding. I meet some great new people every year, who have gone on to be friends of mine. At the Harcourt, we are very relaxed, offering a 'home from home' environment. I do my best to accommodate everyone's wishes and always try to ensure that my guests are happy.
We are situated in the heart of Ilfracombe,a short stroll to the Harbour, Shops and Seafront.Fore street is the oldest street in town and we are lucky that it has many great eateries. The High street, with its banks, Chemists and shops is just a two minute walk away. The Lundy sailing point is approximately a five minute walk away, where you can view Damien Hirst's 'Verity' statue. Ilfracombe is a great base for exploring the stunning North Devon coastline, with many wonderful beaches nearby and many of the attractions that North Devon has to offer. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is ideally situated to visit Exmoor.
