Sandford House Apartment is a fully equipped and modern 3 roomed self contained accommodation consisting of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a communal room containing kitchen, dining and seating area in addition to a further single bed and access to the shower room/toilet.

Hosting is a lovely way of meeting people from all over and I love to share information about my home town and surrounding area with my guests. I was born and raised in this small seaside town and aside from 12 years or so I have lived here for most of my adult life. Despite the years I’ve spent here there is much historical information about Seaford that I am still learning - including the fact that only 4 years ago I learned that Sandford House was occupied at the end of the nineteenth century by one Henry Tracey Coxwell, an aeronaut who, along with his cohort James Glaisher, still holds the record for the highest unoxygenated hot air balloon flight in 1862. For history buffs an interesting walk around Seaford is one involving a Blue Plaque search (one of which adorns Sandford House) as we have had many famous residents living here over the years.

Seaford is a small seaside town on the Sussex coast situated between Eastbourne and Brighton. Sandford House is a few meters from the beach and a ten minute stroll from the town centre where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. The Cuckmere river valley and estuary and the famous Seven Sisters cliffs are just a 10 minute drive away and the small Sussex villages of Littlington, Alfriston, Jevington and Berwick with their country pubs, shops and tea gardens are also only a short drive away. Lewes, the county town of East Sussex is accessible by a 15 minute train ride. Lewes is a medieval town boasting castle ruins looking out over the Ouse Valley all the way down the river to the port of Newhaven. Lewes has much history and many ancient buildings it is a perfect place to wander and step back in time for a few hours.
