Well placed to access the sights of Torquay and the English Riviera, The Morley, is an Victorian Villa built around 1871, and has recently be redeveloped to create a separate one bedroom self catering holiday let. Through The Morley front door brings you into a small hallway on the ground floor which leads to the left for your bedroom with a superking size bed, which can be arranged as two singles if required, and an ensuite shower room. On the right there is an additional room with kitchenette and small lounge area. The Morley has a real homely feel and rooms are traditionally decorated in neutral tones. The owners, Dawn & Lee live on site and are available if needed. Free WiFi is accessible throughout the property and an allocated free parking space is available for you on-site. Local pubs and restaurants are located within 1640 feet of the property and the waterfront is a 10-minute walk away. Torre Sands, one of the many beaches in Torbay, is a 5-minute walk from the property. The Riviera Center is a 3-minute walk from the property and Dartmouth is 10 miles away. If arriving by train, there is a choice of 2 stations (Torre & Torquay) both are centrally located to The Morley and are about an 8 minute away.

The Morley now offers a self catering one bedroom holiday let, The Hideaway. As you walk through The Morley front door into the hallway on the ground floor. On the left is the bedroom with a comfortable superking size bed, which can be changed into two singles (twin) if required and an ensuite shower room. On the right hand side of the hallway is an additional room with a kitchenette and small lounge area. You can self-check in via a key safe box after 15:00 hrs on your arrival day and on departure day you will need to vacate your room before 10:30hours so we can get it ready for the next guests. Although we offer 'SELF CATERING' there is an option of a welcome basket which will be waiting for you when you arrive. Dawn will be in touch to see which one you need and costs etc. We also have an allocated parking space on site for you to use. This space is purely for your use, so you can come and go every day as you wish and the space will be waiting for you when you return. We are situated in a lovely quiet tree lined road which is a 10 minute stroll from the beach, the English Riviera centre, Torquay railway station, town centre, Torre Abbey, pitch n putt, tennis courts, bowling green. There is a lot that the English Riviera has to offer so why not make The Hideaway at The Morley Torquay your holiday central and explore the area and see the English Riviera at its very best. Dawn & Lee look forward to welcoming you.
Dawn & Lee originally ran The Morley as a guest house for four years, but have now evolved the business into a one bedroom self catering holiday let with an allocated parking space. We do live on site so we are about should you need us. As you would expect from us your suite will be clean , comfortable and have that homely feel as always.. We will still look after our guests and our spaniel George is still here to make a fuss off. Previously Dawn has worked as a production planner, lecturer and more recently for a well known Tyre wholesaler/retailer. Lee is an ex-guardsman and has worked for himself for many years in the flooring and decorating business. It is now their desire to work together and offer guests the chance to relax and unwind in this beautiful part of the country, The English Riviera.
The warmest of welcomes awaits you on the English Riviera, South Devon’s Beautiful Bay. Surrounded by stunning coast and countryside, the towns of Torquay, Babbacombe, Paignton and Brixham offer fantastic all year round holidays for everyone, from couples to families, who want their holiday pound to go that little bit further. Don't forget you can also visit Dartmouth, Dartmoor, Totnes, Teignmouth, Dawlish Warren, Exeter and Plymouth all with easy reach. The English Riviera may be most famous for its award winning beaches and exotic palm trees, but it has much more to offer than just seaside holidays. The English Riviera has more attractions than any other resort in the UK and is also a Global Geopark. Getting out on the water is what our visitors love to do, and there is a great selection of boat trips and tasty local food and fresh fish to enjoy. Torquay is the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie, and the whole resort is the location for a packed programme of all year round events including the annual Agatha Christie Festival in September.
