The Three Horseshoes is located within 10 minutes’ drive of the beautiful city of Durham. With parts of the building over 300 years old, it still retains some quirky, original features. A charming country inn, it offers homely accommodations and cozy rooms. Each comes with a TV and facilities for making tea and coffee, and has double-glazed windows with views of the surrounding countryside. The Three Horseshoes offers a well-stocked cellar and serves hearty food in its timber-framed restaurant. A full English breakfast is available each morning, and a range of drinks are served at the bar. Durham is a historic old city, home to Durham University and a Norman castle, parts of which were used in the filming of Harry Potter. Newcastle can be reached in just over 30 minutes by car.

Accommodation As a wonderful country pub in Durham we have many spacious rooms with all the usual hotel facilities including tea & coffee making facilities, TV with Freeview as well as Wi-Fi and an en-suite shower. Dining Our comfortable restaurant offers a wide range of freshly prepared food from our traditional menu. With a range of tempting speciality dishes and some great value meals all freshly prepared by our chef whilst you enjoy a drink. With newly refurbished single and double rooms all of which are furnished and equipped en-suite to a very high standard using neutral colours within minimalist lines. The furnishings are tasteful but not too dominant, and they are designed to combine comfort with efficiency. The pub is only two miles away from the centre of the historic City of Durham, a world heritage site, with its magnificent Cathedral and castle, Crook Hall Medieval House & Gardens and Durham Light Infantry Museum & Art Gallery. The Three Horse Shoes is situated on a bus route straight into the centre of Durham.
