Tucked away down a private tree lined lane, the lodge is set in a very peaceful location, where often only birdsong can be heard. It is only a short walk to the nearest blue flag beaches or into the centre of the bustling harbour town of Falmouth where there are some superb cafes, restaurants and bars. The lodge has a comfortable double bed, flat screen T.V and small bathroom with an electric shower, toilet and hand basin. No breakfast is provided but the kitchenette has a microwave, electric table top dual hobs (no oven), kettle and toaster, for basic cooking. Tea, coffee and fresh milk will be provided. There is a table and chairs inside, as well as on the lovely sunny patio with views over the surrounding gardens. There is parking available next to the lodge. Penmere train station which links to Truro is a 7 minute walk away. Ferries run from the town piers to Flushing, St Mawes, Truro and the Helford River.
I'm a forty-something ex-Londoner. I have lived down in sunny Cornwall with my wife Jill for 14 years now. We have 3 kids and enjoy the 'outdoor' lifestyle living down here offers. Tregenver Lodge offers a very peaceful retreat whilst still being nice and close to the town and beaches; perfect if you are travelling without a car! The large windows allow light to stream in throughout the day and the terrace is well positioned to catch the sun as it moves round.
Falmouth is a great base for a holiday. The town itself boasts a lovely mix of galleries, clothing and craft shops with lots of great cafes, restaurants and bars. The town beaches offer clear waters and soft sand. We are also home to the impressive Pendennis Castle on the headland and the Maritime museum o Events square.
