Accra is a city with many layers. You need to take time to see all of it and the best advice is to ditch Google and ask the local taxi drivers for what ever you fancy. Be specific and don`t be shocked to find first world restaurants tucked away in obscure run down streets. Stay away from tourist traps as Ghana is expensive as it is and malls charge over and above for things you can have in the city for less.

The sightseeing tours were most enlightening.
The sightseeing tours were most enlightening. Learning about the history of the country and the people was eye opening. It was so much more than what we have been taught in schools and what we see on TV. The people we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. Visiting the museums and other historic sites was absolutely amazing. The restaurants and the food was delightful. Some of the most beautiful restaurants. As well, Mosques and Churches were always nearby.
I stayed 10 days and visited 5 of the 16 regions. I will return to see and experience more.

Ubers were below expectations but the banter and breeze made up for it.

Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
I booked a room at TheLennox in Accra through Booking.com, which was confirmed via email and also over the phone by a person named Andy. However, my experience with Andy quickly revealed him to be a dishonest individual.
Moments after arriving at the hotel, I presented my active booking confirmation to Andy, only to find out that he had sold the room to another guest through Airbnb. Despite providing concrete evidence of my prior reservation, Andy callously claimed that the other guest had paid, and therefore, he had given the room to them instead. This behavior is nothing short of deceitful and impudent.
To make matters worse, Andy also attempted to upsell me to a room that was double the price of my original reservation. It is evident that he was trying to coerce me into paying more for accommodation. This kind of manipulative behavior is unacceptable and further underscores his untrustworthiness.
I want to emphasize the unscrupulous role that Andy played in this situation. He knowingly confirmed my reservation, then tried to push me into a more expensive room while giving away my original booking to someone else for his own gain. It's clear that he is not to be trusted.
I write this review as a deeply disappointed customer to warn others about the risk of encountering someone like Andy at TheLennox. Such unethical and dishonest behavior should not be tolerated in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as you may also fall victim to Andy's fraudulent actions.
Never again.

Excellent holiday in Accra, i wish i had travelled sooner in my life and stayed longer than my 2 weeks vacation.
This is an amazing Country at times it emotional and sad :( but we learnt so much more of the history.
we enjoyed everything we did, from sopping on Oxford Street in Osu, to the hustle and bustle of Makola market, the visits to National Museum of Ghana, Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle, most of the Forts, Botanical gardens, eating at the local restaurants, we visited too many places to mention
Just everything about this trip was nice.

Easy to get around a very diverse city, Extremely helpful and frendly people As a vegetarian I found eating out extremely difficult, On my next visit I would have to book accommodation that has cooking facilities.
Theres nothing that i would avoid.
Paul Inkoom from Tour Path was the tour guide who suggested this property. It's close to the airport and very modern. I enjoyed the flexibility of using one of three pools and the underground parking was perfect. It's also in an area with nearby restaurants. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant and sociable. My room was in great shape after they straightened up. Paul is very knowledgeable about Accra and the area overall; he can be reached at pathfinderrentalsgh@gmail.com.
Oh I loved the sleeping there. The bedsheets were sooo soft and fresh. The design is european style, very modern. The room even had a balcony. The kitchen is a normal sized kitchen with a microwave, which I've never seen anywhere else before during my journey in Ghana. Another thing I haven't seen before is nice and cozy rugs next to the bed. Air-condition worked.
The staff is beyond words, anything I needed, they helped me instantly and they were really kind.
I booked a studio apartment with Ghana Luxury Apartments and was immediately impressed by how spacious and clean the unit was. I had a great view of the community pool. My apartment was also equipped with toiletries and water bottles. The building was walking distance from a grocery store, pharmacy, gym and restaurant. The only aspect better than the community was the host. Osborne was very kind, welcoming and helpful. I would 100% recommend this company.
The staff were exceptionally helpful. They went out of their way to assist from the arrival at the airport, linking me up with a driver and even assisting me during one of the days when I was stranded commuting to a conference.
Sure, there may be other pricier and more luxurious hotels in the same area, but Charis is a small family owned business you will be promoting. I especially thank Emmanuel, he was very helpful and the food was very nice too.
Somewhere nice is just something else. This place became my temporary home in Ghana even if it was just for a few nights. Everyone made me feel right at home, it's the ideal place for solo travellers to meet people and learn more about things to do in Accra and Ghana. The facilities and the exterior of the place are dreamy - the pool with bar especially offered the perfect relaxation. I will definitely be back.
i really enjoyed my stay at the property , Naomi was exceptional, breakfast was served , the wifi was good, the room is neat and i will come back again to marysin guest house .
the environment is gated community that assured my safety and security personnel's were all over the community,
i will recommend marysin guest house for your next visit to Ghana.
I stay here every time I come to Ghana! It is a very nice apartment style suite. I love the breakfast and that I am able to wash clothes here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Roda is at the front desk and she is very sweet!
Location is prime near Osu and Labone, would recommend to anyone coming to visit Ghana for leisure or business.
The customer service was excellent! The room was very neat and cozy, with clean bedding. Everything was just on point.
I like that it was quiet and close to everything I needed. I came for work so I needed a quiet atmosphere, and I got just that. I am very happy to have a place I can stay anytime I come to Ghana.
The hotel staff did everything to make our stay comfortable. The hotel and the room are in perfect condition, with a pool available too. The location is also in a very accessible location - close to the airport, not far from other parts of Accra and able to access the motorway to the wider region.
The breakfast was sumptuous. I also love the proximity to the airport.
A big thumbs up 👍for the fact that they cherished their local prints which I also got some in makola market. It was a beautiful experience I had in Accra Ghana😍
The sanity and sincerity is superb😊
The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and kind. They were for the most part extremely attentive to our group's needs. The Hotel looks and feels very much like Ghana. It is a pleasure to stay somewhere that looks like the country that you're in.
We were in the Deluxe Queen, and it was both spacious and comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, and the beds are more comfortable than most Ghanian beds. The staff are very helpful. We have made this our go-to hotel in Accra.
The location is great and the staff were very helpful. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with strong wifi and amazing breakfast. I really enjoyed the hospitality Ghana had to offer through them. All in all, great experience.
Stuff all and above to make sure we have a nice stay including solving non hotel issue for us.
ISAAC is simply. An amzing manager.
