My room had a bedroom and a separate room with a sofa and a kitchen. The location is walking distance from the mall which is convenient as there is a grocery store there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Having a pool is great as it is quite hot in Ghana and it was nice to be able to cool off and sit outside. Breakfast delivery was prompt and accurate.

Kumasi, while still a big city, has a less hustle-bustle feel than some more cosmopolitan places. You can find modern shops and traditional markets, all easily accessible. I enjoyed day trips just outside the city to learn about weaving Kente cloth and growing cocoa at Adanmowase Ecotourism, and had a good hike through the Bobiri Forest Preserve and Butterfly Sanctuary.

Relaxing city, with a friendly all round environment. Fairly priced cost of living too. It was a great break away from the hustle of a busy city like Accra. Visited Ike’s Grill at Bantama, O’s Gardens and Bantama Market too. My first time in Kumasi and I enjoyed. Will visit again definitely.

Kumasi is the heart of Ashanti land and culture.
Kumasi is the heart of Ashanti land and culture. There are wonderful experiences to be had. On Thursdays starting at noon you may go and observe the king holding court and ruling on cases brought to him at the palace. The enormous market is very close to the hotel which is a cultural experience in itself. The museum next to the hotel is excellent - small but with very good interpretation. Spent half of our two weeks in Ghana here. Side trips galore as well!

The property is well situated in a serene environment. The staff are not plenty but fantastically friendly. The room is well cleaned and arranged. The bed is very strong. The room interior decoration is simple and beautiful but the door to the washroom makes so much noise when entering. The GSP or Google Maps leading to the property is not accurate so therefore the management of the property should look into that. The breakfast is one way and there should, there should be variation in respect to the breakfast. The lunch is super delicious.

There's not much for tourists in Kumasi, if anything. But the locals are relaxed and the city feels more like a small town, with the charm and friendliness most unpopular destinations have. If you do find yourself here, succumb to the slower pace, bring down expectations of glitz or functionality, and sit at one of the outdoor chop bars, (+2 pub has live music sometimes) eat fufu on almost any corner, or better yet banku and tilapia, and throw back a few bitters shots.
