Set amid a 12,000-m2 olive grove, Agrikies Country Retreat features an outdoor pool with modern sun loungers enjoying views of the Ionian Sea. The complex offers self-catered accommodations, a restaurant and snack bar. Lagouvardos Beach is at 0.9 mi. Fitted with stone walls and handmade furnishings, all split-level apartments open to both a balcony and patio with sea, garden and pool views. Agrikies is a unique small resort, an oasis in the messinian olive tree forest. In a quite rural area with an amazing view to the Ionian sea. There are two special moments during the day. The mornings, when the sun comes up over the the olive trees and the sunset moment. The rooms, apartments and glamping tents are made with a lot of personal care and with a hippy chic style always influenced by the mediterranean style. We produce our own olive oil and we use it in the restaurant. We also grow our own vegetables. Everything is fresh and delicious because we do everything ...with love!
Marina is the first person that you usually meet first at agrikies. She will welcome you, always with a smile and a local treat. Always available to provide you informations about the sites of interest in the area. She grew up in the area so trust her for any tips for daytrips or other available activities.
SITES OF INTEREST Its earliest history shrouded in the mists of time, Messinia’s cultural past reveals a rich tapestry of kinfs and queens, honor and tradition, war and friendship. Agrikies Country Retreat provides the ideal base from which to explore this checkered past. Neolithic settlements, Mycenaean palaces, Classical temples, Byzantine churches and medieval castles are all within easy reach, both in Messinia as well in the broader. NATURAL ATTRACTIONS Messinia is blessed with a wealth of natural attractions that are within easy reach and certainly warth a visit. Nearby Islets - some of them with fascinating historical backrounds - offer a pristine environment for relaxation and exploration, while the mainland is a veritable kaleidoscope of sandy beaches, deep gorges, enchanting lakes, sparkling waterfalls, olive groves and vineyards.
