All of these, along with being carefree and not having to worry about your children, being able to your dog or cat with you, and all of that not ending up costing you an arm and a leg! You will have the chance to get up in the morning and let the view of the bay take your breath away, and in the evening you can enjoy the lights of Aghios-Sostis reflecting on the seawater like glimmering candles!..."
The beach of Otzias, or the “Sand of Otzias,” as the elderly citizens of Tzia used to call the sandy beach, has always been attracting bathers. It is certainly the most convenient beach of the island, both in terms of accessibility, since there is an asphalt road up to the beach, and the waters and seabed are of good quality. It is ideal for children, but it attracts all ages anyway. A part of the beach is organized, with sun umbrellas and sunbeds, and the rest is free for all, with shades and tamarisk trees, but you should also bring your own umbrella too, for the days that it is too crowded. The tavern on the beach – which, we should really highlight, has a playground in front – is very nice for your lunch after a swim, but also for some evening romance. The people who run this very old “store” of Otzias are excellent cooks, with simple but delicious dishes and reasonable prices. The tavern of “Anna” is of equal, exceptional cuisine and service, a little farther away from the beach.
