Golden Star hotel is a wonderful place to stay, close to Thessaloniki The excellent staff are without exception, professional, helpful and friendly. Our room had a balcony overlooking the beach and was spotlessly clean.Housekeeping put fresh sheets and towels everyday The hotel also provide beach towels so that you can make good use of the sunbeds on the pristine beach which the staff rake ever morning. The American breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for, and if,by chance, you dont find what you need, a word with one of the staff would find it almost instantly placed on your table. The restaurant's A La carte menu is very good and we ate there a couple of times during our stay, at a table overlooking the beach. A gem of a hotel, we wish we could keep it all to ourselves! We will most certainly go back.

The staff is nice. It's a very quite and comfortable place to stay. Beautiful seaside, wonderful night life. Many restaurants beside the hotel, local people is kindly also. It's better to stay here than to stay in the crowded and noisy city center as a holiday. I strong recommend it. It must be an impressive holiday for you.

We appreciated the location, just along the seaside without traffic, the kindness of the staff, the nice food at the restaurant The small size of the hotel's parking and thus the limited facilities to park a car

There were no healthy breakfast selections. The only fresh fruit available was some cut up watermelon. In the summer, I expected to see much more fresh, seasonal fruit.

Nice breakfast. Parking, and close to the beach and airport. The hotel was a bit old and could use a renovation.

We stayed on the last night of our stay in Pelion. We chose the hotel as it was by the sea, the half board price was very reasonable and it was close to Thessaloniki airport. It was full with 2 international rugby teams and a large group of Finns so we were upgraded to a lovely suite with huge roof terrace, though I have to say the bathroom was tiny!

I chose Golden Star because I had an early flight from Thessaloniki airport (the hotel is only 10 minutes away by car), but waht a surprise! The hotel has a fantastic view on the beach, Thessaloniki, and a line of pictoresque seafood restaurants. Seawaters are not as clear as in the Halkidiki peninsula, but one has to consider the proximity with polluting Thessaloniki.

Relaxing location right on a tranquil waterfront, with a stylishishly attractive restaurant/bar overlooking the beach. Ask for a seaview room and you will enjoy the balcony above the gently lapping crystal clear water. Multilingual staff, many other restaurants & bars (some with live music) just down the street, and a village with banks, supermarkets, patisseries & takeaways, etc just round the corner. Tasty buffet breakfast can be eaten beachside in the sunshine if desired. We enjoyed our few days here very much. Not the hotel's fault, in fact it is the shining star in the area... The street & village the hotel is set in is ok, and we felt safe walking around at night as there were lots of families out & about, but the location around Perea is a bit rough. Graffiti everywhere, weeds growing in the streets, smelly rubbish dumpsters, peeling paint - a general feeling that no-one cares, similar to Thessaloniki, but we definitely felt safer here than in the city.

it's next to the beach with private sun-beds (but you must buy something from the bar - minimum 4,5 EUR to use them). beach is 7m deep (can fit only 3 sunbeds aligned head to head) and the dept of the water is moderate even if you are far from the shoreline. breakfast was good and plenty. the staff were friendly. close to thessaloniki but kind of difficult to get from the hotel to the city if you don't have a car. - perea is not a seaside resort it is a small town so do not expect resort-like facilities, - ants in the room, - no tourist information desk (we couldn't find info about tourist attractions in the area), - must pay for sun-beds.

They have a private parking, small but very useful versus the surroundings of the hotel. It is preferable to take just the breackfast instead of halfboard.

A friendly, well-located hotel at the beach boulevard, with direct access to the beach and lovely sea water, perfect for families with young children as the water is rather shallow and no rocks etc. Hotel lives up to its promises. No hypes, no nonsense. Good service, good breakfast, nice, clean room. Good airco. Staff has good command of English.

We arrived early and the staff got us a room ready as soon as they could. They were also very helpful when we were leaving for the airport at 3am. View from our balcony over the bay was wonderful. We went swimming each day on the hotel's beach - sea very shallow a long way out. We ate in the restaurant next door to the hotel each day as it had been so good the first day. Much nicer than staying in Thessaloniki if you don't need/want to be in the centre of town. Slight damp signs in one corner of room (but not actually damp). Cleaner only got to our room at 6pm one day.

It's location on a quiet beach, which is very shallow and beautiful. Very sutiable for relaxing and have vacation with kids. There are many good restraurants offer sea food and greece food. The hotel have their own beach. I would like to come back again soon. Breakfirst is very good, but do not have any vegetable and fruts. Hope could be better.

Location - is located right at the beach and our room had a balcony with a marvellous view. The closeness to the airport was why we chose it since we had an early flight to catch. No complaints. Just an observation - a car is definitely preferrable while staying here and it can take upto 45 minutes to drive into the city with reasonable traffic.
