Where to start? This is one of our new favorite hotels in the world. We had a room with a fireplace, and the wonderful staff were kind enough to help us light it. This means we spent every evening cozied up by a fire, in a small Greek mountain village. What a dream. The food was some of the best we’ve had in all our travels. The breakfast is the stuff of dreams—huge variety, with both sweet and savory options, and delicious cappuccinos made to order. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights, and each meal was divine. This was the perfect Greek mountain retreat, and we would love to come back and stay again someday!

Right on the central square of Portaria with its shading plane trees, lies the hotel and restaurant Kritsa. It offers romantic rooms, a rich traditional breakfast. This 3-story 1900s neoclassical building offers elegantly furnished rooms decorated with soft colors. Each room offers LCD cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Kritsa is well-known in the area for its restaurant. At the restaurant's beautiful dining room the visitor can enjoy the authentic local dishes. A Greek Breakfast is daily offered, according to season. It includes various bread and cheese types, an array of pies and local sweet treats.
