Επισκεφθήκαμε το Treasure of Herbs Complex το Σαββατοκύριακο. Η εμπειρία ήταν εξαιρετική σε όλα τα επίπεδα. Ωραία διακόσμηση, καθαριότητα, φιλικό περιβάλλον, άψογο μέρος . Ότι πρέπει για χαλαρωτικές διακοπές δίπλα στην πισίνα και μέσα στην φύση. Η τοποθεσία καταπληκτική, με μεγάλη ευκολία στο πάρκινγκ , πολύ ωραίο χωριό και πολύ κοντά στο κέντρο του Ρεθύμνου. Πιστεύω ότι ήταν η καλύτερη επιλογή που μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε. Με την πρώτη ευκαιρία θα το επαναλάβουμε.

Agios Mamas is a mountain village of the prefecture of Rethymno that is located on the road leading to Anogeia, almost 40 km far from the city of Rethymno. At an altitude of 460 meters, the village of Agios Mamas lies on the northern foothills of the Mount Psiloritis. The village of Agios Mamas was named after the Saint hailing from Cappadocia in Minor Asia, the patron saint of the animals, since the villagers earn their income exclusively from animal husbandry. Agios Mamas village was founded in the 13th century and its residents participated in the Cretan Revolution, the Asia Minor War and the struggles of the 40s. The parish church of the village of Agios Mamas is dedicated to Agios Georgios, but, scattered around the village, there are other churches, such as Agios Mamas, the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a church that was burned by the Turks and remained ruined up to nowadays. Near the village, there is a famous monastery of Agia Eirini in Avdanites. The Atzilakia Gorge crosses the area of Agios Mamas and there are plenty of unexplored caves around. Moreover, the E4 route of the European Union also passes through this region.
