You can choose between the cosmopolitan Porto-Koundouros or the quieter Koundouraki beach. Porto-Koundouros is a gorgeous organized golden sandy beach, awarded with a blue flag by the Greek National Tourism Organization. It is the most cosmopolitan on the island, with swallow and peaceful waters for kids to swim and play. There is a fish tavern, a cafe and a beach bar, an excellent place for relaxation. Koundouraki, is a charming beach, with crystal clear waters thanks to the rocky formations nearby, a water sports club with kind and patient instructors and a PADI certified center with the friendliest crew. At Koundouraki beach, the knowledgeable team will help you explore the remote beaches of Kea on one of their speedboats, organise a diving or snorkelling trip to the nearby Koundouros reef, visit the famous archeological site of Ancient Karthea town and its underwater parts, or just go for a daily trip to the nearby islands!
