Elderly couple next door were super sweet. Lovely location high up the chora and away from the crowds. Lovely terrace with a view.

It is pretty cool to stay in an actual windmill, it opens up to a split level entrance, a few steps down and you are in nice little living/ dining room and a few more steps up and you are in the bedroom loft area. It is nicely decorated and has a wonderful view out over the harbor. You will be located up in the chora, which felt way less touristy than down in the waterfront area. Great more local feel to the restaurants up here. If you are looking for a unique and unconventional stay in one of the most beautiful Greek islands, stay here!

When we arrived (7am) the hosts Stavros and Ipapanti were already waiting for us with a very warm welcome, they had prepared coffee and biscuits for us - this was very well received after a big walk up the many steps through the town! They stayed to show us around and explain the set up of the mill with amazing advice on what to see and do! The windmill is a very traditional set-up the hosts have purposefully kept it this way which we thought gave the place a very homely feel, we settled in right away. The views were probably the highlight, absolutely stunning we couldn't get enough of them! This is definitely one of the best experiences we've ever had. Wish we could have stayed longer!

They spoilt us on arrival with the best cake we ever tasted and would give us cake every morning as a curtiousy as we were self catering Positioned at top of hill, away from the bustle in the centre . Supermarket and small shops and tavern ears close by. Pedi beach 🏖 catch bus on the hr just outside . €2 each way .

the views are stinning, the connverted windmill is excellent and tastefully done and is very comfortable and had all the required cutlery abd crockery. The hosts gave us lovely coffee and homemade cake on arrival, and a little treat each day we returned from our days outings.. Would recommend and would stay again

Staying at the Windmill was the highlight of my visit to Symi. The accommodation itself is beautiful and characterful, spotlessly clean, the view of the island from the terrace and bedroom (pictured) is unbeatable, the bed comfortable and the aircon very quiet! The atmosphere in Chorio was wonderful and worth the climb. There are a few restaurants and also mini markets for supplies. Lefteris is a relaxing spot for an aperitif and the Secret Garden is a welcoming and atmospheric spot for dinner. The kindness and generosity of the hosts Stavros and his wife, who provided treats and kept an eye out to make sure I was OK, was truly appreciated. Thank you 😻
