**Villa Mayeia has been distinguished with the 2024 Tourism Awards Bronze for Design Villa of the Year ** Tucked into the southern coastal landscape of the island, Villa Mayeia provides a serene retreat for recharging in Crete. This impressive holiday home is situated in the area of Plakias, in a beneficial location, just minutes away from all kinds of daily amenities as well as the homonymous long sandy beach, so our guests can enjoy a car-free holiday. Mayeia Villas consists of two buildings: one featuring 3 bedrooms and another with 2 bedrooms, available for rent separately or together. The options available are: - Deluxe Villa: 5 bedrooms, sauna, 2 pools (one of them can be heated with an additional daily charge) - Three-bedroom Villa: 3 bedrooms, sauna, 1 pool (can be heated with an additional daily charge) - Two-bedroom Villa: 2 bedrooms, 1 pool (not heated) Please note that, when booked separately, the villas share the same entrance and parking area. Otherwise, each villa is completely autonomous. Starting January 1, 2024, a new Greek tax was introduced which is called the “Climate Crisis Resilience Charge”, requiring a fee of 10 euros per night from March to October and 4 euros per night from November to February. The amount needs to be paid in cash or by card upon your arrival at the villa.

Villa Mayeia is located just 250 metres on foot from the famous sandy beach of Plakias and offers a magical views of the Libyan sea and the sunset. Originally a very small and quiet fishing village, Plakias town has become a renowned tourist resort now providing all the facilities our guests would wish for a self-catering holiday. Within walking distance you can find from supermarkets and bakeries, including a very wide range of products local and traditional goods, to a post office, a variety of tavernas, cafes, bars, ATMs, doctor’s office and souvenir shops. While it has grown in size over the years, it still retains its special charm that draws many visitors back again, year after year.
