Zaton is just off the main road.
Zaton is just off the main road. Good restaurants, excellent beaches for snorkelling, lovely headland to explore to find more secluded beaches. Boat trips leave from here although the harbour is very busy for parking. Studenac had everything we needed grocery wise. Trsteno Arboretum is a short drive away and the harbour below is beautiful. It is a 15 minute drive to Port Gruz where you can park to get a local bus into Dubrovnik (there is a tourist information in Port Gruz where you can buy Dubrovnik passes). Enjoyed a day at the Walls of Ston. Would recommend Blue Planet Diving for a scuba experience. Excellent base to explore southern Croatia

Very quiet resort , lovely waterfront restaurants . There was one slightly more lively bar on the front , not sure what time that closed ? We like swimming and snorkeling which was rally good around the headland . There is a local supermarket but it seemed to close most days at 16.00 hrs so get your shopping early ! Also there is a little roadside kiosk/shop that sells fresh bread and pastries etc. Really liked the area , very sleepy mostly but easy 15 minutes in taxi to Dubrovnik .

Beautiful bay within walking distance of our villa. Shops, bars and restaurants were all easily accessible and within walking distance but I would recommend a hire car to maximise your stay. Zaton is beautiful and quiet and not over developed.
Zaton is beautiful and quiet and not over developed. The sea is beautiful and a joy to swim in. It is close enough to Dubrovnik for frequent visits if you want more excitement and is definitely worth visiting at least twice. However, even if you don.t manage to get there, Zaton would not disappoint. I could go back and content myself relaxing by the Adriatic. My top tip would be to ask for quotes when booking taxis and in our experience , the local taxi firm was the cheapest.lucyUnited Kingdom

They allowed us to keep our bags before the check-in and the place was very clean. The pool was very clean as well. Has all the amenities as mentioned in the description. The place is 20 mins away from Dubrovnik and hence not crowded at all. You have couple of restaurants within walking distance. The place is well connected by Buses which is suggested but even can be reached by Taxi from Dubrovnik town.

The view is amazing and that is what we will miss because waking up to such a view is priceless. Sea and olives, fresh air. Zaton is a small village perfect place for a relaxing holiday but also near the city (only 10 minutes by car). Lukrecia the owner provides very useful tips for a stay in Dubrovnik. All in all wonderful apartment, very well equipped for longer stays and very suitable for children. Highly recommend staying here.

The apartment is right on the beach, it has its sun beds and a parasol on the beach, and it is included in the price!!! The terrace was phenomenal with the view of the entire bay. The apartment has a kitchenette with everything one needs. Owner was very welcoming, saved us a parking spot after we arrived, also for free!!! It is very close to the city of Dubrovnik, and the village, Veliki Zaton, itself is also very charming.

The garden is covered in orange trees & oranges were the best I have ever eaten! ( gifted by the owner, not taken off the trees!) The BBQ area is fab too as well as the outside dining area. Great proximity to Zaton & close to local supermarkets & the local bus into Dubrovnik. The private pool was the biggest + with great views over the bay.
