Hotel in Cavtat
Hotel Croatia is in an exceptionally beautiful and secluded location on a peninsula overlooking the Adriatic on one side and the picturesque historic quarter of Cavtat on the other. The View is fantastic, even in the basic rooms, especially during sunset. The room was clean, comfortable and sunny. The beach on the side of the hotel is amazing, the water is super clean, deep and suitable for swimming. The food is tasty, there is a huge variety, and eating on the terrace gives an amazing experience. The staff was very kind and polite, always asked about our day and if everything is okay. Cavtat is such a cozy little town, very close to the hotel. We really enjoyed staying and plan to come back.

Offering air-conditioned rooms with furnished balconies on a seafront location, Hotel Cavtat has a swimming pool on its rooftop terrace overlooking the sea and town. The selection at breakfast was excellent. We ate across the street and liked it very much. The waiter was efficient and humorous, a great combination. I lost something on this trip and came back a few days later. The staff was helpful and kind and even though it wasn't found, they made a good effort. Hopefully, I will find it somewhere else. I hope to return with my husband in the future.

The family-run B&B Country House is set in a Dalmatian village 1.9 mi from Cavtat. Located in the ancient Konavle Valley, the property is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The Country House Pansion is very close to the airport, and provides an airport shuttle (to and from) upon request. The Views from my room were stunning! The hostel is immaculate, and family owned! The food is exceptional, and everything is grown in a garden on the property, including homemade wine and Rakija, an original Croation spirit! A free aperitif is served to guests as a welcoming gesture, and reservations are kindly requested. I booked my reservation for only one night, because it was so close to the airport, and I had a late-flight. However, the food was so incredible, and the hospitality so generous and kind, that I ended up staying the entire week of my vacation, and can't wait to return to the Country House, the next time I travel to Croatia! This is the best place to stay when you fly to Dubrovnik, and the family owns a taxi service, so getting around the area is easy and convenient! I highly recommend this Guest House (Pansion) and am already planning my next trip there!

The place is excellent with a really nice swimming pool area. The rooms are very spacious and nice. The kitchen in our room had everything you could hope for. Cavtat itself is a place worth visiting and I would easily recommend booking Villa Markoc for your stay.

Cavtat is a beautiful small city, filled with greenery and historical sites. I recommend visiting Vlaho Bukovac house, which a birth house of one of the greatest Croatian painters now turned into a small but informative and interesting museum. Also, one should not miss the Mausoleum of family Racic located on Rat Peninsula, above the centre of Cavtat. I think one can not miss by eating in any restaurant in the Cavtat, as they all provide great fish and meat meals.
Gosh what a beautiful town. Two little supermarkets that sold what I needed for breakfast. Most restaurants were a little on the pricy side. So was the wine! Take the 3 Islands day cruise. Don't expect a fantastic lunch, but drinks were free. Take the water taxi to Dubrovnik. That's interesting but also hellish expensive to sit down and drink. I paid £4.50 for a small diet coke! Find out about the 5 bombed out hotels above a sandy beach.... The water is crystal clear and not too cold. In the bays there're two ways to get in, jump or go down the aluminium ladders/steps. Absolutely glorious. I'll be back, but to a hotel next time 🙂
Cavtat is just a beautiful place full of very friendly people. The restaurants that we visited served excellent food and all followed the current protocols for managing COVID19. We loved sitting in the Ankora wine bar watching the comings and goings on the superyachts whilst sipping ice cold drinks. The bar staff were so pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Next door is a great restaurant called Dalium and the food there plus service was superb. We also enjoyed eating in the Cavtat Konoba (we go there every time we visit because the two people serving are just the kindest people ever). Cavtat is quite a small resort so it is easy to get around and to see everything. It is also a great base for exploring Dubrovnik which I find a little too busy and expensive (Cavtat is much more reasonable). You can catch the number 10 bus from Cavtat to Dubrovnik and see the walled city from the top of the hill and then walk through the cobbled streets to the Ploc gates etc. Cost of bus ticket 20 kuna one way. You can then leave Dubrovnik and head back to Cavtat on the ferry so that you see the walled city from the sea at a cost of 100 kuna. Ferry takes about 35 minutes. Cavtat is idyllic and although I have been there 4 times I know that I will continue to go there in the future. Beautiful place full of the loveliest Croatian people you would ever want to meet. I really hope that they do not suffer badly with the tourist trade as a result of this pandemic.
Very nice and peaceful. Lots of lovely restaurants and a gorgeous water front - short walk along the road to Cavtat itself with a lovely harbour and more shops and bars. Has a really nice vibe to it. Very nice weather too in October. We stayed in Apartments Siljug, which were higher-up overlooking the bay and were very comfortable and had amazing views. we had bread left outside our apartment by the lovely host every morning - warm and homemade! Very reasonably priced apartments and will be staying again. Short bus ride into Cavtat and can easily get to Dubrovnik. Small bar round the corner serving nice cold drinks and some food. Small shop there as well next to bar.
A really lovely quiet, relaxing place 10 mins drive from the airport and about 20 mins drive from Dubrovnik. Lovely walks around the coast with plenty of restaurants. Our favourites were Ludo (a few mins walk turning right out of the hotel) and Dalmatino (near the bus station on the corner). Fantastic scenery, beautiful clear water and friendly local people.
For those new to Croatia, Cavtat offers a great base to explore what the region has to offer. The town is based around two harbours divided by two peninsulas so there are lots of waterside walks in pinewoods with little spots to slip off the rocks into the warm sea for a swim. Generally there is a good standard of food, much of it italian inspired and lots of great seafood. A new find is La Boheme that sensibly tries to cook a limited menu very well with fresh ingredients and style. Food and drinks are a bit cheaper than France and Italy so eating out can be affordable.

I liked everything about Villa Lukas: Luka and Irene are the best hosts I have ever had, very helpful and kind. They arranged for free a transfer from the airport and back, once arrived they showed me the whole house and amenities. The Villa is newly built and arranged with nice furniture, TV, kitchen stuff. The bathroom sparkly clean with many towels, shower gel etc. They clean the rooms every three days, asked me now and then if I got everything I need. Literally top notch place. Didn't use the pool however it was big enough and clean. Free coffee for everyone in the big kitchen and living room downstairs so the guests can socialize in that shared area. A fridge full of cold drinks and wine at the normal price, very convenient when it's late and you do not feel like going out to a grocery to buy one. Irene is an artist and she didn't mind showing me her small gallery downstairs and her beautiful paintings. Very nice people and I could see they run this place highly professional way. They made my vacay perfect. Thank you so much! Hope to visit you next year.

We absolutely loved everything in this place. Considering all the things about Covid 19, we were positively surprised by the cleanliness of the apartment. It is sparkling clean :) The staff (Nana) who greeted us, is one of the kindest people we met. In this place you have everything for perfect vacation. Enough space, parking, beautiful sea view from the terrace, unforgettable sunsets from the rooftop, outside pool, hot tub on the rooftop with amazing view. It's worth every penny!

The hot tub on the terrace was perfect. Our 30 year old daughter spent most of her waking hours in it reading and enjoying the sea view. We got far more use out of it than we would have done with a swimming pool. The location of the property was good too: far enough out to enjoy the view but close enough to walk to the centre if you feel like an energetic stroll back up the hill. If not parking down by the harbour was cheap.
The selection at breakfast was excellent. We ate across the street and liked it very much. The waiter was efficient and humorous, a great combination.
