Zaton is just off the main road.
Zaton is just off the main road. Good restaurants, excellent beaches for snorkelling, lovely headland to explore to find more secluded beaches. Boat trips leave from here although the harbour is very busy for parking. Studenac had everything we needed grocery wise. Trsteno Arboretum is a short drive away and the harbour below is beautiful. It is a 15 minute drive to Port Gruz where you can park to get a local bus into Dubrovnik (there is a tourist information in Port Gruz where you can buy Dubrovnik passes). Enjoyed a day at the Walls of Ston. Would recommend Blue Planet Diving for a scuba experience. Excellent base to explore southern CroatiaMelanieUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Very quiet resort , lovely waterfront restaurants . There was one slightly more lively bar on the front , not sure what time that closed ? We like swimming and snorkeling which was rally good around the headland . There is a local supermarket but it seemed to close most days at 16.00 hrs so get your shopping early ! Also there is a little roadside kiosk/shop that sells fresh bread and pastries etc. Really liked the area , very sleepy mostly but easy 15 minutes in taxi to Dubrovnik .

Beautiful bay within walking distance of our villa. Shops, bars and restaurants were all easily accessible and within walking distance but I would recommend a hire car to maximise your stay. Gusto's grill was a on the corner of our street and their take away pizzas are a must!

Zaton is beautiful and quiet and not over developed.
Zaton is beautiful and quiet and not over developed. The sea is beautiful and a joy to swim in. It is close enough to Dubrovnik for frequent visits if you want more excitement and is definitely worth visiting at least twice. However, even if you don.t manage to get there, Zaton would not disappoint. I could go back and content myself relaxing by the Adriatic. My top tip would be to ask for quotes when booking taxis and in our experience , the local taxi firm was the cheapest.lucyUnited Kingdom

My apartment was perfectly equipped for me to cook at home if I wanted. However the property is close to several restaurants if I wanted to go out. it’s an easy bus ride to Dubrovnik if you don’t have a car where you can get links to other parts of Croatia, Montenegro etc. If you don’t want to move though, this is the spot to be - on a sun bed next to clear clear water with a beautiful view of the quiet bay. I’ll be back.

The appartement is big enough with a lot of storage space and a kitchen with everything you need. The wifi is quiet good enough to work remotely like I did and there is also a nice balcony. Zaton Milan happens to be a lovely spot away from crowds yet still quite close to Dubrovnik (there's a nearby bus that can get you there). The two restaurants around the bay a little further are absolute treats too. We decided to take the breakfast, as there wasn't much else around, and were glad we did. Pool was great with outside seating area we used sometimes in the evening. Buses to Dubrovnik centre regularly or Uber. It was a great escape from the bustling centre. Within walking distance of restaurants and beach.
