Great stay, Ivo is an amazing host who gave us plenty of great tips! Wonderful little garden, fully fenced (we travelled with a dog), outside terrace great with sea (bay) view. Free parking 10 meters away! Inside simple but comfortable. More like a trailor house. Very peaceful with a BBQ outside! :)

Zaton is just off the main road.
Zaton is just off the main road. Good restaurants, excellent beaches for snorkelling, lovely headland to explore to find more secluded beaches. Boat trips leave from here although the harbour is very busy for parking. Studenac had everything we needed grocery wise. Trsteno Arboretum is a short drive away and the harbour below is beautiful. It is a 15 minute drive to Port Gruz where you can park to get a local bus into Dubrovnik (there is a tourist information in Port Gruz where you can buy Dubrovnik passes). Enjoyed a day at the Walls of Ston. Would recommend Blue Planet Diving for a scuba experience. Excellent base to explore southern Croatia

Very quiet resort , lovely waterfront restaurants . There was one slightly more lively bar on the front , not sure what time that closed ? We like swimming and snorkeling which was rally good around the headland . There is a local supermarket but it seemed to close most days at 16.00 hrs so get your shopping early ! Also there is a little roadside kiosk/shop that sells fresh bread and pastries etc. Really liked the area , very sleepy mostly but easy 15 minutes in taxi to Dubrovnik .

Beautiful bay within walking distance of our villa. Shops, bars and restaurants were all easily accessible and within walking distance but I would recommend a hire car to maximise your stay. Zaton is beautiful and quiet and not over developed. The sea is beautiful and a joy to swim in. It is close enough to Dubrovnik for frequent visits if you want more excitement and is definitely worth visiting at least twice. However, even if you don.t manage to get there, Zaton would not disappoint. I could go back and content myself relaxing by the Adriatic. My top tip would be to ask for quotes when booking taxis and in our experience , the local taxi firm was the cheapest.lucyUnited Kingdom

The apartment is right on the beach, it has its sun beds and a parasol on the beach, and it is included in the price!!! The terrace was phenomenal with the view of the entire bay. The apartment has a kitchenette with everything one needs. Owner was very welcoming, saved us a parking spot after we arrived, also for free!!! It is very close to the city of Dubrovnik, and the village, Veliki Zaton, itself is also very charming.

Villa mare was a few kilometers away with a convenient bus service to avoid the hassle of finding parking. Although Zaton was quite small in was situated in a lovely bay with a couple of decent restaurants. The owner and family were very friendly and helpful with advice about the area and bus services into Dubrovnik.
