Such a warm hospitality is very hard to find! My wife and I felt like we were at home.
Accomodation is very comfortable and clean. You will find everthing you need. Room is circa 15 minutes of slow walk away from the closest beach and close by there are few restaurants and big store.

There are no other houses very close to this one, so you can enjoy peaceful time on the terrace. Everything is carefully designed and arranged, and you can find everything you need. The hosts were really nice and welcoming.

Too,Too, Crowded. People on top of people. parking was an issue, along with the amount of children in our area. It was literally a playground. The trailer we rented had sliding door issues. The door fell off of it's track every single time we tried to close the sliding door. The toilets took and extremely long time to fill, and the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were empty. All in all, I do not think I would stay here again. Valkanela "Packs Too Many People" into it's campground, making it hard just to move around. Every little space has someone pitching a tent, or trying to shoehorn a caravan into a small spot. I watched as families struggled to navigate the campground trying to park their vehicles, and had no assistance from the staff. As for your stay you are exhausted by the end of the day navigating cars, bikes, scooters, motorcycles, delivery vans, and people to say it was a relaxing vacation. Then there are the roads in the camp ground, far too narrow for cars, bikes, scooters, and children running in the street. Once again all said, this campsite will never see me again, and what makes it more of a shame is that I have family that owns a trailer on this property, so you would think that it makes it convenient for me to stay at this campsite, but it simply was not as advertised. Lastly, Valkanela really needs to open more counters in the Arrival/Departure area of the admin building. Two lines do not cut it. There are 25-30 people standing on line trying to check in and out, It takes an hour easy. Ridiculous. For the expensive stay that it was, Never again for me!

We stayed through the new years eve, 90% of our time we spent in the gazebo in the garden, which is very cozy. I would recomend that you take something to walk over the mud if you go in rainy or damp time. If I would go again i would take my pillow, because this one was too big and hard, but again just mine preferences. I would gladly recomend the stay, the hosts are very kind and nice, location is great etc.MatejSlovenia - 10Scored 10
Funtana has a beautiful coastline but its difficult to go to...
Funtana has a beautiful coastline but its difficult to go to Istrië if you do not have your own car. Indeed it is possible to go by plane and rent a car but these rentals are extremely expensive and charge high for ages above 60 or 70. You can not get the car of your choice and they cheat with a half empty fueltank.

Way overpriced, not the friendliest locals, not much to do if you dont like rocky beach with no shades. Do not get exited about eating out good food. Absolutely will not revisit it with my family. And I was very polite now...

Funtana is in a very turisty area.
Funtana is in a very turisty area. The beaches have a lot of camps in a pretty short strech. Which is nice for all the facilitys that come eith them(beach bars, toilets, restaurants, deck chiars,...) but there is plenty of people there during the season and the beaches and restaurants can get very crowded. Otherwise there is plenty of stuff to do around(dino park, aqua park, karting,etc.) and plenty of beautiful old towns nearby.

The accomodation was very nice, we had room with big terrace, which was great. The place was ok, it was close to the shop, close to the restaurants and close to the center on the quiet street. It was around 10-15 minutes walk to the closest beach, which was good. (There is lot of see grass in the sea in Funtana).

It is in the quite location in Funtana. We enjoyed visiting Dinopark Funtana with our kids very much (5 min. walking), as well as Aquacolors Aquapark - 5min. drive from the apartment. The best beach for us was in Vrsar Gradska with a lot of natural shade. We would not hesitate to come back. Petar the host was very kind and helpful.

Plus, we were pleased with her presents😊 Apartment has 3 big rooms, cozy kitchen with everything on it, nice terrace where we stayed all evening and a barbecue place. It was like 10 min walk to beach. Beach was nice and we like it very much! Will be happy to come back to Croatia and stay here again

As for the furnishings of the house, there was nothing missing, we felt right at home, qiuet place. Communication with the owners excellent, some problem was solved immediately. I recommend to visit D´or beach club ( 10min walk) and city Poreč 6km from Funtana.
