We personally recommend you spend at least two nights in Rovinj. That way you have enough time to explore the Old town and will probably even pass by the same spots several times. There should also be enough time to spend a few hours at the beach. Perhaps Rovinj is the only travel destination on your Istria or Croatia trip? Then we would recommend staying three to five nights. Then you will have enough time to take one or two day trips.
