Mr. Vjeko Martinko welcomed us warmly the evening we arrived. We enjoyed the location and ambience so much we extended our stay. The villa is set on the water. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast with an ocean vista. Access to the promenade is right below the villa. You can easily stroll along the water to Lovran or to Opatija. It was more than just a place to sleep. It was a place infused with history and art. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I especially like that there is not too many tourists and that you can both enjoy the town beach just as the wild rocky beaches where you have more privacy! I would recommend Lovranski Pub and Delfino for GREAT meal! The walk road by the see - LungoMare give you a huge pleasure by the sea from Lovran to Volosko! Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural...
Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural abundance. The only problem are the roads and basic infrastructure after beautiful promenade in Opatija and Lovran. The cars are driving like there is MonteCarlo, without any consequences or fines, and as a walker going to the beach, you are not considered. Simply, there is no basic traffic lights, sidewalks and you can easily get killed there if not careful enough when passing the main street. Well cared for, seafront although lacking sandy beach is well equipped in terms of terraces and steps leading into the sea with handrails to provide assistance. Also well positioned for visiting other locations. We. Visited Rijeka and the island of Krk.

Just as foretold, a bit smaller, a bit less fancy version of Abbazia / Opatija. The sea is the same :-) Also vey nice villas and apartments, the Lungo Mare is stretching all the way till here. Good food. Old Town is really old and authentic. Depressingly narrow streets, pedestrians only.

Suzy made us delicious cakes a few times. The apartment is located at a quiet place, you don't hear any cars. The pool is good too. A morning coffee with a view at the sunrise and the beautiful sea + dinner with a view on the cities Opatija and Rijeka is just priceless. You have a parking spot in the garden of the apartment. The kitchen is well equiped, bedrooms, bathrooms, and terrace are big enough, parking on spot in front of the house. If you hace children there is enough space for outdoor activities as well. There is also a small market nearby. If you are looking for a nice and calm stay in Croatia, this is the place to go.

It is located about 8 minutes from the Lungomare, close to the center of Lovran. Štefanija was very responsive and provided us all information we needed. The key collection was super easy, with the key box in front of the apartment. There is a free parking in front of the building, and there were always some free spots (at least in May).

BUT! the apt is a few min walk from the old town/port up on the hill. the terrace faces to a green jungle, full of singing birds.
