Cool and spacious in a beautiful little hamlet, with everything you could need. When I first booked this I was worried about how remote the place was as although we were looking for peace and quiet we didn’t really want to hire a car and drive everywhere. The hosts, Toni and Dijana made sure that wasn’t a problem. They picked us up from the ferry and helped arrange hiring electric bikes which if you are just in the area for a few days was the perfect way to get around. They were so welcoming. Just a ten minute walk away (down a v rough track) was our favourite beach we found on Hvar, flat rocks to lie on, steps to get into the water, the best snorkling and we had it completely to ourselves! Something I never thought we would find in July. If you are looking to get away from the crowds I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Mola Rudina is a eco-ethno village of twenty houses, the first one being built in 1663 by the family of Pietro Scoglian,a settler from Gdinj,a village in the eastern part of Hvar. The entire population of the village share the same family name -Šoljan and have been dealing with agriculture and fishing. In the center of Mola Rudina at the clearing that makes the rudimentary square,the center of the village ,still stand an olive mill,a grave mill ,and a lamp on stone column ,witnessing the past times. The contemporary interior of Cottage Thrasos covers the total area of 57 m2, with 38 m2 reserved for the ground floor, 19 m2 for the mezzanine, and 10 m2 for the terrace. This charming small Mediterranean stone house offers its guests a unique relaxation. The closest beach is a beautifull bay Lisna 650 m from the cottage.
The eco-ethno village Mola Rudina is located on small hill 2km north from town of Stari Grad. In 384 BC, the town Stari Grad was formally founded by ancient Greeks from the island of Paros in the Aegean Sea. They gave the name Faros (ΦAPOΣ) to their new settlement, an independent state permitted to mint its own money. The nearby plain was marked out with roads at right angles, and divided into fields of standard size. The Stari Grad Plain today represents one of the best-preserved examples of ancient Greek agriculture throughout the Mediterranean. In 2008, the Stari Grad Plain became a UNESCO protected world heritage site.There's a website of the town Stari Grad , where you can find plenty of information about the history, restaurants, beaches, events etc. Getting Around There are frequent ferries from and to Split. Also, there are busses from Stari Grad to Hvar Town and hydroplane from Jelsa to Split. During the period from 01.july to 01.september, our guests have free excursion from Stari Grad to most beautiful beach on adriatic cost Zlatni rat near Bol on island Brac.
