I liked the location- close to the centre but set back on a quiet street- my room was to a very good standard and overall I found it comfortable. The breakfast was good and I found the staff to be friendly and courteous- The Harding Hotel is good value for money and I'll certainly return again...

It was clean and tidy We arrived late after the football and when we checked in we went to the bar for a drink .it was quite noisy in the bar when wwe asked for a drink the barman said we had quite enough .we told him we were residents and he said that did,nt matter we were not getting any we have had enough.he then told us we were giving addituide.i have been to dublin alot and its the first time i,ve been refused a drink . I think when the barman heard our accents from the north he did not want to know.will not be back and will tell everyone we know not to stay there.apart from that hotel was fine.did ask for a manager that night but no one was at hand . I felt we were being singled out very disapointed. Yours mr S.hoy

The Harding Hotel is a cut above budget accommodation. If you're looking for a clean, good value hotel with free WiFi internet access you'll probably have trouble finder anything much better in such a good location.

Had read reviews saying noise from Christchurch was v loud, heard the bells but didn't find this a problem at all. I was on a high floor directly overlooking Cathedral, so maybe a problem if you left your windows open but otherwise I think you would want to be a light sleeper to be bothered by it. Personally, I thought it was charming. Met three different reception staff during my stay, all of whom were very pleasant & helpful. I am very familiar with Dublin, I chose the hotel as I was a solo traveller & wanted to stay somewhere I would feel comfortable walking back from Temple Bar on my own at night. I would feel safe walking to this hotel from Temple Bar via Dame St. I've stayed in nearby budget hotels in the past which I found were grotty in comparison to this hotel. Room was spotlessly clean, room fixtures basic but very comfortable bed & tea making facilities fine. For city centre hotel, good sized room. Breakfast which is an additional charge & served next door, was well prepared & varied. I would definitely recommend this hotel for shopping in city centre, visiting temple bar, exploring viking Dublin/ Christchurch Cathedral/ Grafton Street/ Trinity all short walk away. Olympia theatre is only short walk as well. Hope prices are as good for next visit. As regards the comments on noise, I have yet to stay in a city centre hotel that is perfectly peaceful. I have stayed in 5 star hotels in Dublin & been woken by passing traffic. This location relative to many is quieter, maybe ask for a quiet room? Double bed would be small in size if you were in anyway tall, not a problem for me or other leprechauns or people under 6 foot. Parking is not in the actual hotel, it's less than a 3 min walk across the street but if you had people with mobility problems, it's worth knowing. The hotel overnight rate for parking in this carpark is actually good for Dublin city centre parking rates.

Fairly basic hotel but it is clean and friendly and so well located that one is within easy distance of lots of things. Taxi rank just up the road and bus stop around the corner. Lots and lots of pleasant bistro type restaurants very close by. Just under 9 euro to take taxi from this hotel down to Heusron station. Close to Dublin Castle and Trinity College. Easy walk to a lovely pub called The Bank which has good Guinness and fantastic plasterwork on ceilings (Old world grandeur). Overall I will definitely go back as a woman alone could walk around these parts to find a good restaurant without safety issues...Handy handy handy for everything! They could do with power washing or steam cleaning the grout on the shower walls. It is the main thing I would have noticed as being less than perfect. Having said that, everything else was spotless and the beds are crisp and comfy. ( I would return).

Nice location near Temple Bar district and numerous attractions but not too close to hinder a night's sleep. You could walk anywhere from the Harding. Being connected to Darkey Kelly's Pub was also a plus. Quaint and comfortable room.

The Hotel was grand. I was staying there with my partner to run the Dublin Marathon. So it was in a good location. They also had a early light breakfast option which was perfect because of the early start of the marathon. No complaints from this customer. Everything was fine!

Proximity to the city centre. My 2nd room (3rd. Night of my 3-day stay) was great (Room 502) I stayed 3 nights. I asked for a change of room for the 3rd. Night. I should've asked sooner. My room for the 1st. 2 nights(Room 403) was very disappointing for 2 reasons:1. The view from the window was awful: just a blank wall and windows. 2.The noise from outside kept me awake: a constant hum from somewhere below(not street traffic) and noisy neighbours at 4a.M. in the opposite room(s). I had to leave the windows open as the room was so hot(no heating on).

Locations We were not satisfied with the hotel. Description indicates that the hotel was recently renovated and our expectations set for a for 3- star hotel. We were disappointed: mere paint coat does not constitute renovation; bathroom has black mold in shower tiles; ceiling paint peals, overall cleanliness is sorely lacking. We had stayed in 3-star properties on several occasions and this one does not deserve the rating.

Great location. Friendly and professional staff. Some street noise (church bells) but in a city that's to be expected. Rooms were quite old.

Very good location. At booking it was specified at payment "no deposit will be charged" , but the total amount for 2 nights was blocked from my card ( 3 weeks in advance) . I payed cash at the hotel, and after 1 week I still didn't get my money unblocked from my card .

We could walk to many of Dublin's points of interest--the castle, Trinity College, museums, shopping, etc. The hotel was in a very lively area and was located a few steps from the 747 Airlink bus to the airport. . The hotel staff was very helpful and always ready to answer our quetions and go out of their way to accommodate us. On the weekend the noise from the hotel bar was a problem in the hotel room.

convenient to many things, taxi rank across the road, €9.00 for two of us to get to Grand Canal Theatre, You could walk to the Gaiety theatre. Plenty of restaurants closeby and you would not be afraid to walk around this area in the evening. €8.00 or so o get a taxi to Heuston station. Good value hotel but breakfast is not included and i would not be keen on the hotel restaurant but lots of alternatives nearby. Queen of Tarts is pricy for what you get but the ambience is pleasant. I didn't have any problems. I asked for a specific room and I got what I asked for. No complaints !
