We have been married 40 years, and have lived in Easkey since 2009 Stuart is from Edinburgh and Frances is from Birmingham in the UK. We love hosting people from all over the world and try to give our guests a great relaxing, comfortable break, we always endeavor to accommodate guests requests in order that they can enjoy our home and their stay at Ocean Sound by providing a friendly place to stay that offers a high standard of cleanliness and hospitality. We love living so near the sea and take great pride in keeping our house maintained to a high standard and strive to please our customers. As Easkey is so perfectly situated for local surfing, touring and sightseeing so we are always be happy to help you plan your day and give suggestions on what this fabulous place and the surrounding areas have to offer. Upon arrival we greet our guests and provide a complimentary pot of tea or coffee to relax in our panoramic guest lounge we can provide you with great places to eat, walk, surf and we can book a table for you to dine out in nearby Enniscrone if required and give you any general local information.

Easkey is a small coastal village. In winter, it is extremely quiet and in the summer, it comes alive. There is a fantastic community in the village and you will find people very friendly and willing to talk. It is located on the Northwest coast, where the Easkey River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. It has a general store, butchers, post office, pottery shop, fast food outlet, hairdressers, “Pudding Row” the grocer that supplies artisan foods and a pub. You can explore the local walks around the vicinity along the coast by the Atlantic or a stroll beside the river. The estuary is known worldwide for its waves of surfing and kayaking, so it is popular for water lovers! Easkey River is popluar for Salmon fishing or there is a private fishery nearby. It is a popular stop off for tourists whilst travelling along the beautiful "Wild Atlantic Way" Easkey is the perfect base to explore nearby Sligo and Yeats country, famous for its literature, music, scenic landscapes and many megalithic monuments, including the Carrowmore Tombs and the spectacular Ceide Fields in the nearby town of Co Mayo.
