With free parking just 5 minutes’ drive from Cahersiveen town, Strands End House offers bright rooms with garden and mountain views. Set in beautiful gardens, the house offers free Wi-Fi. Light and airy, each room at Strand’s End House features an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Guests can relax in the room with a TV. Boat trips to the islands of Skellig Michael and Skellig Beag are just a 20-minute drive away. Numerous scenic walking routes are located nearby, and there are several Blue Flag beaches within a 10-minute drive.

I wish to inform Guests due to staffing and our age we are no longer doing breakfast. We are ROOMS ONLY .Breakfast can be got in Cahersiveen just 3 minutes drive in the car. We have tea/coffee in Room as well as a small fridge, and we also supply a kettle. Guests sometimes wish to use my dinning room and I supply a kettle microwave and toaster. I have also a Guest Sun Room/sitting room which you are welcome to use. The Rooms are set up just to accommodate two Guests One room has two double beds and the other a King Bed and Single, I have not included prices for a third person but if you have a child you wish to bring you can email me and we can make arrangements.
Eamonn and I have lived in Cahersiveen for a long time. We are an elderly couple with a dog (cavapoo). Eamonn is a local and knows all about the area, we love walking and enjoying the lovely views around the place, the beach is only 15 minutes drive from us so we go there a lot for walks, Eamonn is involved in local activities including two choirs .
We are situated in a lovely part of Cahersiveen just two miles from the Town and we have a great view of Knock na Tdobair across the way. Just behind us is the is the old Work House where people who had no homes were or sick had to go, if they could not pay their rent they were also forced to go there and many died there in poverty, the road beside us leading up to it is called the paupers rd. About 7 km down the road is the beautiful Kells Bay, and about 15 minute drive is the White and Black Strand and of course Cuas Crom another lovely little beach. You can also get the ferry to Valentia Island from the Point and drive around Valentia We are only two minutes drive from Cahersiveen Town where you have nice shops and restaurants, there is also a very good heritage center there now the "Castle" where people can learn all about Daniel O'Connell the man who brought Catholic Emancipation to Ireland.
