Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia a Roma is a boutique B&B in the centre of Rome in a lovely penthouse with elevator, with a terrace overlooking Rome skyline, in a peaceful green complex of years 20s with a secret garden, strategically located at a short walking distance from Villa Borghese, main tourist attractions of historic central Rome and from Stadio Olimpico, Foro Italico, Auditorium Parco della Musica and MAXXI, away from busy, noisy and touristic downtown, by the river Tevere. Logistic base to attend sport and art events as well as visiting the Eternal City, also on foot. The Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia a Roma features 2 cozy guestrooms recently refurbished in shabby chic style, each with ensuite bathroom, one with spa, WiFi, AC, TV and a vintage breakfast room with kitchenette too, refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle and toaster to experience a self-serve made Italian breakfast. A British B&B kind of hospitality in an Italian style contest, in one of the first B&Bs ever in Rome! Easy access to Metro A Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo by 3 tram stops. Once in Rome, feel and do like a Roman!
Welcome to Rome and to Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia a Roma! I started doing B&B in England, Sussex, where I studied and I let the rooms of the big house where I lived to other foreign students. When I came back home in Rome, I continued doing B&B to pay off the mortgage, by assigning part of the house to B&B, separating the 2 zones and upgrading my B&B through the years according to necessities, requests and Italian rules. I was born in Rome, but I don't look typically Italian. I speak English and some Spanish and French. I like children, animals, nature, the sea, the stars, music, art, movies, sport. I enjoy having guests in my B&B coming from all over the world! My guests are really special persons and for me it's a privilege to have the chance to make new friendships and keep the old ones! Many come back year after year. It's like having a big family spread out in the world!
Flaminio is a wonderful residential and quiet area, located in a central position north historic central Rome, along the Tiber's banks, where international sport and art events take place, well connected to downtown by public transport. Surface metro/tram No. 2 gets to Metro Line A stop Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo in 3 stops only. At a short walking distance from: Auditorium Parco della Musica, the MAXXI, the Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Borghese Gallery; the Olympic Stadium and Foro Italico; Villa Borghese, the Zoo, and via del Corso; C. O. N. I. (Italian National Olympic Committee); the Rowing Clubs; Scuola Superiore di Polizia of via Pier della Francesca; the Ministry of Foreign Bureau (Ministero Affari Esteri) of Farnesina; Valle Giulia Architecture Faculty, the Department of Architecture of la Sapienza University of via Flaminia; ENEA, Teatro Olimpico...
