Die Freundlichkeit des Personals

Es gibt nur zwei winzige Handtücher für 1 Woche. Die waren ziemlich ausgewaschen und dünn. Gerne hätte ich den Bungalow mal ausgefegt. Habe aber nirgends einen Besen gefunden. Sehr schade. Denn in einer Woche sammelt sich viel an Staub u.ä. an. Da wir mit dem Flieger angereist sind, hatten wir leider auch keinen Besen im Gepäck. Es wäre toll, wenn "Reinigungsgerät" zur Verfügung gestellt würde.

Das Personal im Info, Shop und Restaurant war sehr freundlich

Laut Booking com sollte unser Chalet 2 x 12 m² Schlafzimmer haben. In wirklichkeit waren es einmal 8 m² und 4 m². Für 4 Nächte gab es 1 x Handtücher und keine Zimmerreinigung.

Wir waren Anfang Juni 2012 in Rom und haben am Camping Village Fabulous logiert. Die Nähe zu Rom (mit dem Bus und der Bahn ca. 30 min. bis zum Colosseum) , zum Meer (ca. 10 min. mit dem Auto) und vor allem zur antiken Hafenstadt Ostia antica waren sehr praktisch. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und man hat uns mitgeteilt, wo wir am besten unser Auto in der Stadt parken können. Allerdings hat der italienische Verkehr und im Besonderen der römische Verkehr an Tempo nichts mit mitteleuropäischen Verhältnissen zu tun und daher ist es vorteilhafter mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln vom Camping aus in die Stadt zu fahren. Der Supermarkt könnte besser sortiert und ist auch für italienische Verhältnisse recht teuer. An der Reception erhält man von Briefmarken bis zum Bus- und Bahnticket alles.

Sehr gute Busanbindung zur Rom Besichtigung. Schöne Anlage, gepflegt und das allerbeste ist das leckere und günstige Eis mit großen Kugeln.

Meine Kinder hatten eine Pizza im Restaurant, hat ihnen nicht wirklich geschmeckt trotz riesen Hunger.

Preiswerte, saubere Unterkunft als günstige Variante für Rom-Besuche mit Kindern, ob der guten Bus- und Metroanbindung.

Trotz Navigationsgerät nicht so einfach zu finden, da keine Adresasangabe.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes neues Bungalow mit Fliegengittern und Klimaanlage. War sehr sauber. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, ansprechbar bis Mitternacht ohne Probleme, bereit, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen, was auch promt geschah. Ich bin sehr zufrieden! Diese Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Der Weg zum Bungalow war weit ohne Auto... ja, aber was soll`s! Bewegung tut gut, auch im Dunkeln.

Der Camping liegt ausserhalb von rom ist aber sehr gut via Bus und U-Bahn angeschlossen. das Angebot im Einkaufsmarkt ist übersichtlich und passend. Die Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eben Italienisch :-)

Das Buchungssystem via Mail ist absalut untauglich!

Everything was perfect!

Just as advertised, Fabulous. The cabin had all the things you require. Even the kitchen had all the utensils needed.

Though this is really outside the camps area, the bus service to the train station took too much waiting time. There were a lot of people waiting for a ride. We spent 90 minutes waiting for a ride.

We have House with Kitchen but there is nothing by which we can clean our Kitchenware , no brush not liquid to clean. Even there is no phone to reception so if you are in trouble you have walk long way to reception area at entrance. And Heater was not so useful it only heats just 2-3 feet area.

Relaxed. Very clean. Well priced including shop and restaurant. Easy to get to rome centre. Great communication before arriving.

No toilet paper in block.

The camp is a perfect holiday treat for family. We arrived late in the evening, the staff were so helpful in locating our bungalow. When we opened the door, we were pleasantly surprised about the cleanliness of the apartment, it was indeed a home away from home. Although the famous ice cream parlour, the swimming pool & the supermarket were closed for renovation, it does not in any way affects the comfort & calm atmosphere of the camp. Easy access to transportation for city of Rome sight seeing. An excellent place for a relaxing holiday, our boys aged 5 & 7 want us to ask if we can buy our bungalow so that we can return there regularly.

location is good if you want to spend some days at the sea and some days in the city: camping is located 15 minutes by bus far from the city and the same from the sea. bus stop is 1 minute walk wonderful pool laundry picturesque territory good wifi 24 hours reception

wet in the room shop is closing early 20:00 restaurant is overpriced they never have pizza in the par despite the fact that it is in the menu expencive transfers to the airport pool is closing early

The cabins were clean. The pool was excellent, really clean and a great facility. Our kids had hours of fun at the pool and the slide, also the table tennis table was great.

The rest of the camping ground is a little tired in parts, the bar area and restaurant could do with sprucing up. I would not recommend Camping Fabulous however as we had a really bad experience at the Restaurant which basically ruined our stay for us. We went for dinner one night and the staff, well actually just one member of staff was so rude we just couldn't believe it, he seemed to favour some customers and not others, maybe because we were not Italian he felt that we did not deserve to be treated at all well? The restaurant has quite a good menu, but it is no better than a very poor cafeteria, the food and SERVICE is TERRIBLE!!! I would not eat there if I was starving. I am not sure of the name of the waiter that served us and I wish I did as this review is probably not fair on good staff that may work there.

the environment , the camping site is perfect wood lodging site, natural and un spoiled, far from the crowd and the mess of the city

The hot watter supply , it had the tendency to go on and off while showering

Staff was friendly.

They need to tell people about the shuttle to the airport. They have a paper on the desk but we didn't see it and it cost us an extra 35 Euro. Just mentioning it at check it would be good.

Huge but still personal attention.very clean. Good conectivity.

There was no cooking facility in the room-I hadn't realised this at time of booking. Not even a kettle

The child friendly atmosphere was excellent, with the safest pool I have ever encountered. I felt safe on site and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It did not take long to find our bearings and organise our first trip to Rome, and transport was close by as explained in booking.

The mattresses were a little thin, I had to work out the air con controls by myself (the master switch was located in the small bedroom) as no instructions were available in the Chalet. The shower was temperamental and did not always run warm. However this did not detract from our holiday, and I will be returning next year for 2 weeks with my family.

Good location for sightseeing in Rome and great swimming pool which always had plenty of beds available although not always with shade. The site accommodation was spotlessly clean if a little basic and when a problem with the shower arose it was fixed within a couple of hours. Staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful, particularly one of the waitresses and the girl in the shop who also worked on the till in the bar/take away in the evening. The Resturant Manager was very efficient and business like and his reputation from some other reviews is completely undeserved, he was always good to us. The restaurant itself is excellent ( we ate there often) with consistently good food and attentive waiters. Occasionally food does not arrive all together if ordered from different areas eg: pizza but when this happens for more than just a few minutes the staff were always very apologetic. This is very common in restaurants on sites that provide multiple services eg: pizza oven, take away grill etc and they did everything they could to mitigate it. The bar/Gelataria was always a pleasant place to finish off the evening too with a great atmosphere. Overall though, a good campsite.

If you want to do anything else other than travel into Rome then a car is essential. The shop is very small and basic but as so many of the residents have cars this isn't a surprise as they take trips to the supermarkets down the road to stock up. A big supermarket in a shopping centre can be easily reached by bus and we only did this once at the beginning of the holiday, managing with the stock in the on site shop for the rest of our stay. There is bread in the shop in the morning but it is not baked on site as a lot of sites do so it is not quite so fresh. The site is also not very good at advertising what is going on and even the front desk staff don't know as the Animation Team work independently. It seems in some ways that Camping Fabulous is a victim of it's own success and growth and that it hasn't quite caught up with what a larger camp needs.

We are a family with 2 young teens and have stayed here twice this year. The pools are good fun and the site is ideally situated for days out in Rome. Also the park is nice and quiet after midnight for a good nights sleep.

Great entertainment and very relaxing.
